Chapter 2: A New Light

Flashback.. 2 and half years back.. London..

Khushi ran like crazy while Lavanya tried to catch up her steps..

La: Khushi wait...

It was freezing.. and she enjoyed running into the snowfall.. as she yelled happily..

Khushi: Laaa.. I'm in love.. I finally find my prince... I love him... I love him La...

Lavanya smiled as her friend's happiness knew no bound.. when she finally got hold of Khushi.. she said calmly..

La: Ok ok calm down... at least tell me who is the lucky guy..

Khushi looked at her.. her eyes glowing with happiness and heart skipped a beat as she took his name..

Khushi: Arnav!

And Lavanya froze in shock...

Flashback Ends

She got back to present and with a heavy heart.. she pressed on the delete button of the answering machine...

9 am... Khushi's Room

Slowly, Khushi opened her eyelids, a half-smile adorning her face. Lying in bed.. snuggled into the strong arms of her man.. Such mornings.. these were the best of her life.. She turned and looked at his sleeping figure.. Moving closer, Khushi pecked Arnav's lips and whispered to his ears..

Good Morning Arrogant Singh Raizada! I Love You!

She smiled and pulled back from the quilt.. In a sitting position, holding her knees to her chest, Khushi closed her eyes and breathed in the morning breeze entering through the opened windows... She stretched her arms right to left lazily and as she was stepping out of the bed, she got stunned when a pair of arms grabbed her waist and pulled her back into bed... Her eyes wide opened, her head crashed into the pillows and in a swift Arnav's body covered her petite figure.. An arrogant lopsided grin on his gorgeous face, Arnav stared mischievously into Khushi's eyes... He leaned closer and captured her lips into a passionate kiss.. On the spot, Khushi took up the pace while her arms wrapped up around his neck pulling him more into her... A smile curved on her lips when Arnav pulled back from her... and he said in his husky voice...

ASR: Next time, I want to be kissed good morning like this one.. ok?

And she replied confidently.. with no fear...

Khushi: Only when you'll kiss me good morning with the words I want to hear!

Arnav smirked and said..

ASR: I'm not an emotional fool like you sweetheart!

Khushi: And what if the emotional fool decides to leave you...

He chuckled...

ASR: Baby, you won't... Good Morning Arrogant Singh Raizada! I Love You!... Not after those words..

And she continues his words in a sad tone...

Khushi:... which I say every day without any response.

Khushi stared into his confident eyes.. He looked so sure of himself.. that NEVER he will ever fall in love.. and with the increasing anxiety in her mind.. a doubt.. of a new light.. which might turned into darkness.. the only thought that she might be bearing a baby in her womb.. his baby.. was it a new light for her hope.. or is it coming as darkness to fade away the little hope that Arnav will not run away from her... and what if he does? What will happen to her?? Even if she might live.. but her child.. no one should ever suffer for the need of a father.. Meanwhile, Arnav glared at her confusingly.. He knew her hopes.. he knew she loves him.. but it seemed different! Since yesterday night.. he knew something was bothering her.. Afterall she was not in her chirpy excited self.. Every day.. every morning.. every night.. every call.. every text messages.. every mails.. She always ended up saying those three magical words.. and she took a silent glare as an answer smilingly.. but today.. she seemed lost.. and now he was getting lost into her.. His trance broke when suddenly Khushi cried out cheerfully...

Khushi: Get off me Arnav... I desperately need to use the washrooms..

Arnav raised his eyebrows amusingly.. this girl was something.. and he nodded as he looked at her back to normal mode.. the happy cheerful Khushi.. and he said in his sexy tone..

ASR: Got to wait for your turn sweetheart or find another washroom!

Arnav leaned closer, pecked her lips and jumped off the bed... Her jaw dropped, Khushi stared at the half naked retreating back of Arnav till he slammed the door of the washroom... and she could only nodded...

Khushi: He is impossible!

Khushi signed and got into her slippers.. She tied up her hairs and in her sexy nightie, she walked out of the room.. As she reached the kitchen counter, she switched on the coffee maker and went towards the guest room... Confused on not seeing Lavanya, she called out her name...

Khushi: La!... where the hell is that girl now?

She turned back towards the kitchen and spot Arnav walking out of the room, with wet hairs.. and only a towel tied up to his waist. And instantly a smile curved on her lips as she admired him from top to toe... Arnav smirked and walked towards the counter while saying..

ASR: Stop staring K, that's not something you've never seen before!

Khushi brushed off her thoughts and walked to the counter.. Ignoring the sexy naughty glare of Arnav, she poured the hot coffee in two cups while Arnav asked...

ASR: Where is Lavanya?

Khushi handed him the coffee and walked to the voicemail machine while saying...

Khushi: Disappeared! This girl is no less than a storm... I wonder what she is upto now?

And Khushi pushed on the new message button...

Voice Recorder: No new message!

His eyes shot wide open... and he yelled..

Aman(yelling): What?

Biting her nails nervously, Lavanya lowered her eyes...

Aman: Listen, I understand your worry.. I know you care for her.. maybe even more for her that your brother's life decisions... but this is Khushi's life.. and how can you hide such a big truth from her... I mean, think logically?

Removing her fingers from her mouth, Lavanya looked towards Aman and pouted.. Gosh she just hated when she is wrong and the guy is right.. especially when it comes to Aman.. the innocent looking guy but with a genius brain!

Aman: Not today.. but she'll definitely find out tomorrow or day after tomorrow... at the worst if she completely forgets about it.. in nine months with a baby bump and contractions.. I'm sure she'll find out!

Lavanya's eyes shot wide open while Aman stared at her... Suddenly a bright smile appeared on her face and she stood from her seat.. Hurriedly she approached Aman, and the latter's jaw dropped when Lavanya sat on his lap.. Aman froze on the spot while regardless of the several onlookers in the coffee shop, Lavanya cupped his face as she said excitedly...

La: You know what? Bhai is always right... You are a real genius..

Trying to look as normal as he could at the fact that the girl he dreams of every night, was sitting in his lap in a coffee shop full of customers, he said in a low uncertain voice...

Aman: Really!

La: Yes..

And she pecked his lips innocently... Aman's eyes popped out, his heartbeats raced faster.. and he so wished someone pinched him at that moment till she got off his lap bringing him back to reality.

La: Come on, let's go...

Immediately she grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the coffee shop.

La: I'm driving..

She took the keys from Aman's hand and got into the driver's seat... As Aman sat next to her, Lavanya turned to him and said smilingly..

La: Khushi will definitely have the baby.. and with a father's name! It's high time Bhai realizes that Khushi is not his habit but his need.. and his love..!

And she pushed on the accelerator towards Doctor Walia's cabin...
