Part 16
The next few days passed by in the cases and Arjun-Aisha tried to make Riya jealous by doing things and playing lovey-dovey. Though Riya didn't like it and sometimes it showed, she tried her hardest to keep strong. She would either ignore it all or try to not be in the same room as the "new" couple. She would maintain her faade in the office bt it all came un-done the minute she stepped into her house. The well-hidden pain would break out and she would slump on the floor. She would then drag herself to her bed and cry her heart out. Exhausted she would sleep. Every day, she would follow this pattern and stop when she felt that she had cried her pain out but there would always be more the next day. Oh! How she wished it was her instead of Aisha... But it was impossible... Or so she thought. Unaware of this, the trio enjoyed it to the fullest. They would keep up their acting all through the day and while going home, in the ETF SUV, talk and laugh about it. They knew that she was noticing everything but had no idea about the pain Riya was suffering or the fact that this "plan" was having the adverse effect on her.
Apart from Riya, there was another person hurting, maybe not as bad though. Even if he didn't know her as well, there was a connection. Something that told him to stop what was happening. It was WRONG. But unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about it. Who was he? The chief of ETF? But that couldn't do anything in this case. But how can it be? How can Arjun marry her? Didn't he love Riya? Was he going to leave her just like that? All these question were racing through Sameer's mind. He couldn't believe it. He needed answers. But he couldn't gather the courage. What could he do to stop it? Should he just go talk to Arjun? He knew it was the only option. But would Arjun tell him? Yes, everything was as good as before. They shared the same comfort level but the past couldn't be ignored! "Ab to iska ek hi solution hai. Arjun se baat karni hogi. I hope vo mujhe bata de!" Sameer said to himself and laid on the bed to spend the night. Sleep was far-away and it would only come after answers.
The next day was the big day. They would be going to the farmhouse. It was only 1 week for the Big Day. The (fake) wedding of Arjun-Aisha. They arrived at the Rawte's farm-house which was decorated mildly. There was still the decoration going on as the wedding was a week later. But there was a lot of hustle. The ETF arrived in their SUVs. They had been allowed holiday for the week by the commissioner (the holiday was real only not for the reason. They had it for working too hard on the last 3 cases and taking no holidays). They all parked their SUV's in the garage and Hari Kaka (The old servant and Arjun's plan-mate) came out to greet them. "aare aaiye aaiye. Arjun baba, kaise hain aap ?" Hari kaka said in delight as he saw Arjun get down. Arjun bent down to take his blessings. Hari kaka had always been there for him, like a second father. Hari kaka called the servants from the farm house to carry the stuff inside. "Namaste kaka... Kaise hain aap?" Aisha said coming out from the SUV. "Aisha beti! Kitne samay baad?! Arre arre, kitni badi ho gayi ho. Kya baat hai! Aao aao!!" Hari kaka motioned for her to go in. Then, Riya came and bent down to take his blessings. He was almost her father's age and she saw her dad in Hari Kaka. Hari kaka blessed her and smiled, happy at Arjun's choice. Riya reminded him of Roshni as she was like her in the rites. Well-behaved, modern with Indian touch and respecting elders. No wonder Arjun fell for her. She was perfect! Hari kaka's eyes filled with tears. He wished to see her as their house's daughter-in-law as soon as possible and then mentally chucked, imagining Arjun's expression at this wish.
Sameer, Shree, Chotu all bent down and took Hari Kaka's blessings and Hari kaka became very happy seeing them all so respectful in the uncaring world of today. He blessed them all with full heart and took them inside. He showed them their rooms and helped them settle in. Since there were so many people, they had to share rooms, two in one. So, of course, the rooms were Arjun and Sameer; Aisha and Riya; Shree and Chotu. Hari kaka left them to get fresh and called them to come down for lunch.
Sameer had been waiting for an opportunity to talk to Arjun since the morning. Seeing that they were alone, he quickly closed the door. "Arjun.. Mujhe tujhse baat karni hai." Sameer started nervously. "haan Sam! Bol na..?" Arjun said, "kya hua? Tu to aise nervous ho raha hai jaise meri GF se shaadi kar raha ho!" "Vo to tu kar raha hai.." Sameer muttered, shocking himself. "Kya?!" Arjun said confused. Sameer looked up in shock but looking at Arjun's confused face, he felt relieved. "Matlab.. tu kya kar raha hai?! Mujhe laga ke tu Riya se pyaar karta hai!" Sameer started, "Arjun.. dekh yaar.. agar tune osko hurt kiya na toh main..." But before he could say more Arjun interrupted, "Oye oye! Bhai.. calm down! Sam.. Tu aisa kaise soch sakta hai?! Main Riya se hi pyaar karta hoon! Osse hurt karne k baare mein main soch bhi nahi sakta! Aur rahi baat iss shaadi ki.. To vo sirf ek naatak hai... kyun? Ye Samjhe ya Samjhaon?!" Arjun said and smirked. "Naatak?! Mujhe kyun nahi bataaya?!" Sameer said in fake anger. Arjun turned to face him and raised his eye brows, " Tujhe? Tere pet mein kab tak koi baat rehti hai? Please huh! Mujhe apna plan barbaat nahi karna!" Sameer narrows his eyes and then shrugs, "to ab?" Arjun turns to look at the mirror and says, "aage aage dekho.. Hota hai kya!"
Guys... I know bahut late hoon... But iska gussa comments pe mat nikalo please..! Jee khol k comment.. Ab I want to see you in next thread!
