Mrs. Khan's First Ramadan-By Mocchug aka Monica😳
"So one cup sugar, and two cups flour, then sift..." read Zoya out loud. Her iPad was balanced up right on the kitchen counter, a cake recipe open on the display.
She continued her measurements and went to the oven to set it to Preheat. Zoya continued adding and mixing in the right ingredients, trying her best to not to be tempted by the smell of sugar or the rumbling in her stomach.
No, Zoya. Only a couple hours. By then the cake will be ready, and you can give everyone your surprise, she thought to herself, smiling. She willed herself to stop thinking about food, as she poured the batter into the baking pan and stuck it in the over. Now all that was left was to wait.
She grabbed her iPad and settled herself on the sofa, playing a game to pass the time.

Two hours later, the oven beeped. Zoya's head turned and she smiled childishly as she made her way to the kitchen, skipping. She set her iPad down and proceeded to take the pan out of the oven.
Asad walked out of his room, the delicious smell from kitchen tugging at his curiosity. It was almost time for Ifatar, and his stomach was already grumbling. He made his way to the kitchen and noticed Zoya standing in front of the oven. He shook his head and took a few steps towards the living room.
"OUCH!" yelled Zoya.
Asad's head snapped in her direction, his eyes full of worry.
"Zoya! Kya hua!" he bellowed, running to her aid. Zoya stood in front of the oven, tears in her eyes, her hands in front of her. Asad stood beside her, his eyes wide. Zoya's hands were red.
"Zoya! Tumhare haathon mein kiya hua?" he asked earnestly.
"Jaal gay, Mr. Khan," explained in a teary voice, her face forming the cutest pout Asad had ever seen. "Mein cake oven se nikal ne gayi thi, aur mein gloves penna bhul gayi."
Asad couldn't help but smile. He sighed. "Zoya tum bhi na. Jaldbazi mein sochti nahin. Chalo. Haat dholo." He wiped her tears with his hands and guided her to the sink. Turning the tap on, he gently rinsed her hands with cold water. Zoya winced, her hands burning. Asad chuckled, seeing her cute pout reappear. He dried her hands and took out the first aid box.
He gently bandaged her hands and looked at her. She was looking down, still pouting.
"Kya hua Zoya? Tumhare haat to theek ho jayenge," he tried.
"Mein Ifatar kaise karoongi Mr. Khan? Mere haath to jale hue hai. Khana kaise khaoongi?" whined Zoya.
Asad smiled at her antics. "Hmm uss ke liye mera paas ek solution." He smirked.
Zoya looked at him confused. "Kaisa solution?"

Finally, it was time to break the roza. Zoya was still confused as to what Mr. Khan was thinking and Asad was anxious. He was actually excited to break his roza. And this time, it had nothing to do with satisfying his hunger.
They all broke the roza, taking their first bite, and drinking a glass of water, except Zoya.
Dilshad and Najma were engrossed in prayers, and didn't notice Zoya pouting yet again. Asad smiled. She looked so cute when she pouted. Like an innocent little girl.
He got up and went to her. Kneeling next to her, he took a morsel in his hand, and moved it towards her mouth. Zoya looked at him curiously. He motioned her to eat it, with his eyes, and looked at hers.
Zoya kept her gaze on him, and slowly leaned forward, taking the bite. Her lips brushed his fingers, and both of them felt their breathing hitch. Zoya continued to look into his eyes, as she chewed her food. Asad brought her glass to her mouth, just as he had done before, and with same actions, motioned her to drink it.
Zoya did as she was told, relishing in the intimacy of the action. She looked down, once she was done, and said a small "Thank you" while bitting her lip, trying to suppress her smile.
Asad smiled at her response. And then proceeded to feed her the rest of her food, completely ignoring his own hunger. Suddenly, he wasn't that hungry anymore.
Their eyes locked, as Asad kept feeding, one morsel at a time. His fingers brushed her lips ever time, and he licked them after feeding her. Once again, the intimacy was not lost on her. By the end of the meal, Zoya and Asad couldn't stop looking at each other. Zoya took one morsel, with her two non-burned fingers and positioned it in front of Asad.
He smiled, and took the bite from her fingers, while being careful not to touch her bandaged burns. They both shuddered as her fingers grazed his lips, and following his lead, Zoya licked her fingers, while looking Asad square in the eyes.
"Mr. Khan, ab aap bhi kha lije. Aapko bhuk lagi hogi." Zoya looked at him, her eyes full of gratitude and contentment.
"I'm not really hungry anymore, Mrs. Khan."
