First and foremost a bear hug to all of you 46 persons who commented and appreciated my effort. It really means a lot; I would really like to answer to each of your comments but time is a big snag out here; so please accept my thank you from the bottom of my heart!🤗
I would like to thank
Arshix144 for providing such a nice an detailed review of the first chapter- it really touched me; did I ever tell you that you are a fantastic reader?🤗
I would also like to mention ara_000 for her lovely comment and Riafna for being the cutest person on IF.
There are loads of things yet to evolve and be solved in the story.
  1. How come ArHi are married?
  2. How is Khushi in coma?
These questions will be answered with time as well as new questions evolving from this chapter.
Also, Miss Grapy, is the name given to Khushi's diary as it is purple- same tint as a grape; so miss Grapy!
And the story will be mostly narrated through Diary entries.

And hint for the next chapter, before you read it, Khushi was/is pregnant?😲😳

Next Chapter- 8th post on this page! :)

Thank you all,
Rhea!

Chapter Two-

"Mr. Raizada, could you please excuse yourself for a moment? Mrs. Raizada needs to be examined by the doctor," Arnav nodded at the nurse's words and plunged himself back in her diary, Khushi's diary, where at least he could see her, hear her, feel her talking; he could at least live with her in the diary.
"Arnav," he felt himself being overwhelmed in a soothing hug, which was really needed at that time. He looked up to find the person he was anticipating. "Di," he forced a smile before pressing his lips together.
He focused on the only living memoir of Khushi, trying to ward off the tears blurring his vision only to be reimbursed with a long stream of mild, squashy tears, finally, cascading down his cheeks.
"Chotey," Anjali sighed before wiping away her brother's tears-as she always promised, and did so too, every Raksha Bandhan- and voiced a few words, "Chotey, Come on; Kabhi hass bhi liya karo! She is going to be fine, I can assure you that."
She was answered with some muffled snivels from her brother and smiled, to see that her brother was crying. Since six months, Arnav had been there, with Khushi, and had always been seen weeping in front of her but Anjali had never seen the vulnerable side of Arnav- Arnav had to cry, had to confess his inner mayhem with someone, so that he could be freed from his suffocating inner self, he just had to.
Anjali wrapped her arms protectively around her brother, lightly thumping his hair, giving him an affectionate, pulpy kiss on his temple prior to leaning against him and letting loose her emotions against the shoulder of her brother. Both were seen consoling each other as well as sharing their grieves mutually- Anjali was not the only odd one out. She too, had lost all the vital persons in her life, along with, now, she was on the brim of losing her brother, her only reason to see the day, her chotey; she could at no cost afford to lose him- no way.
"Di," Arnav stifled a sob, "I don't know di' Why? Why is all this happening to us, di? Why?"
Gently stroking his hair, Anjali exhaled inaudibly, "Chotey, this was just meant to happen. Who can alter god's wish, Chotey? This is life- if we live, we have to die. This is the cycle of life, the rule of nature. No one can change destiny Chotey, no one."
"But'"
"No ifs and buts! Stop worrying about the past, don't look forward to miracles in the future, simply live happily and contently in the present; Who knows, tomorrow may or may never happen?" Anjali said, relieved.
"Di, don't you miss jeejaji?"
"Chotey; to say sincerely, no. I don't miss him because, he always dwells in my heart Chotey, we miss people whom we forget but I have never forgotten and will never forget your jeejaji. He'll always have a special abode in my heart," Anjali looked away avoiding Arnav's gaze and wiping away her tears. She faced Arnav, cupping his cheeks, "You have to be strong Arnav, very strong. Khushi needs you and you need to be emotionally enough brawny that you can support her, you can be by her side, and you can help her to recover to the usual Khushi. You have to be by her side no matter what Arnav; it is an obligation!"
"Thank you di'." Arnav said in an audible tone before Anjali hesitantly questioned, "Chotey' Has Khushi'. Does she'.Uhmm'.Did she ask for'. For Aru?... Did she ask where Aru is?"
Arnav's eyes froze up as her heard 'Aru's' name. That was the rim for him to break down impulsively. "Aru?" he asked Anjali, wide-eyed.
"She was pregnant, you know?" it was a curt answer for a problematic question.
"Di, How do you know?"
"Chotey? Are you fine? Everyone knew that Khushi was expecting; why are you acting unaware?"
"Not that di! How do you know that we would name our child Arush? It was between us! How do you know about Aru? You didn't di, tell me you didn't darn it!"
Anjali had her calm engulfed all over her and answered serenely, "Chotey, I did. I did read Khushi's diary, a long time before you, before you even found it. She had left it with me before leaving that night'."
"Di, Why didn't you'"
"Chotey, it's not time to discuss all these matters now. What matters is Khushi- you know she was very much attached to Aru; does she know that Aru has left his mother, his father, his family and went away, Do---Does she'Does'." The cries in the waiting room were echoing and ringing in their eyes with each passing second.
"Di, she doesn't' She doesn't even know anything that has happened after that accident. She hasn't even uttered a word since the past six months, darn it! She hasn't.. She hasn't'" Arnav kept nodding negatively, trying to convince himself that the bitter truth would never attain her.
"Chotey," Anjali engulfed him in another, yet soothing hug, "Everything----"
"WILL NOT BE FINE DI!" the yell was loud enough that they had to be warned to maintain the silence.
"Chotey'." Anjali was interrupted by the doctor, "Mr Raizada, I need you in my cabin right now. I need to discuss about something important."
Arnav followed the doctor, breathing peculiarly uneasily, into his cabin.
"Sir, any problem? Is Khushi fine? Something to worry about? What.."
"Mr Raizada, calm down. Here, have some water."
There was a long, eerily silent pause before Arnav coughed, feeling nauseated with the queer smell rising.
"Mr Raizada, please take a deep breath; this is going to be long, very long. Let me start from scratch. Firstly, coma is a state of unconsciousness whereby a patient cannot react with the surrounding environment. The patient cannot be wakened with outside physical or auditory stimulation. The inability to waken differentiates coma from sleep. Patients can have different levels of unconsciousness and unresponsiveness depending upon how much or how little of the brain is functioning. Now, here is the Galsgow Coma Scale of Mrs Raizada. The Glasgow Coma Scale provides health-caregivers a simple way of measuring the depth of coma based upon observations of eye opening, speech, and movement. As you can see, a fully awake patient has a Glasgow Coma Score of 15 whereas here is Khushi's Coma Score," he explained holding the report in his hand.

"A person can be in coma for several reasons, trauma, accidents, major cerebellum shock, amongst others. Khushi has suffered from a trauma caused by head injuries making the brain to swell or bleed- most precisely, Khushi's brain has not suffered from any bleeding till date, which is fortunate. Now, when the brain swells as a result of trauma, the fluid pushes up against the skull. The swelling may eventually cause the brain to push down on the brain stem, which can damage the RAS, that is the Reticular Activating System, a part of the brain that's responsible for arousal and awareness," Arnav nodded to each of the doctor's words, firmly safeguarding all the information.
"Mr Raizada, Khushi can be effectively treated if you, being closest to the comatose patient give me as much information as possible to help us determine the remedy of her comatose state. Prompt medical attention is vital to treat potentially reversible conditions before it worsens. I would request you Mr Raizada to please dig into the details of what happened to lead her in this state. Please, sir. Don't hesitate, consider me as a family member, and you can confide everything about her to me, it is very essential for me to know everything," The doctor ended in a serious tone making Arnav stare into the blank for a few minutes, letting all the emotions reel in his mind like a movie, feeling the rush of events of that year, the year, when he met Khushi. The emotions began rushing down his spine as he looked back to the memories of that year.
