Chapter 1

'Ms.Gupta the proposal is..You will marry me for three months, a contract marriage that is and if you accept you will never ever have to see my face again and I will promote you and If you deny, then you are dismissed from working in this industry EVER!...So what will it Be', He leaned towards an enraged Khushi.

Rakshas..two timing-lying laad governor what does he think he is, threatening to fire me if I don't marry him. Marriage is far from the question I rather be shot then fed to the sharks or better yet fall off of Mt. Everest itself, before marrying that satan.

"Relax Khushi relax", I chanted as I made way to kitchen to make some coffee with that Satan. I swear he drinks more coffee than Starbucks has to offer. I steadily walked into the kitchen, lost in my train of thoughts and not paying attention to the surroundings, when I bumped into one of my friends and colleague, Ryan.

'Hello, Earth to khushi', he waved his hands infront of my face to get my attention. Smiling once I looked up. To be honest Ryan was one handsome guy. He's intelligent, witty, and you can even mistake him for a model. I don't see why the poor guy is still working for the Satan, well I dont see why I am working for him either. I sighed.

'Huh what', I asked as soon as I was done admiring Ryan's physical appearance. 'It's the Devil himself again right, just don't go and start making that Indian sweet again', he started scratching his head trying to figure out what it was called. Cute.

'Jalebi', I told him. He smiled and patted my back before leaving saying a quick bye and a "Feel better, beautiful" too. Did I mention he's a flirt from time to time.

I made my way to the office as soon as I was done making calls to cancel and arrange all the business meetings, arrange the new files alphabetically, and made gazillions of trips from the kitchen to and fro the Rakshas's office.

I sat down on the chair all exhausted from another day of work. I start massaging my temple, up and down in circles to stop the pounding on that's going on in my head. Just as I was about to lay my head down on the table, the Satan called me in with intercom. Wow just my luck huh. Do note the sarcasm please. I swear if he talks about the contract marriage one more time I will forget he's my boss and just slap the resignation letter in his face.

'Sir, did you call me', I masked a sweet tone as I knocked on the open door. 'No I called the tooth-fairy and some how you showed up', he rolled his caramel eyes. Why you little..I controlled my hands from somehow landing on his neck and just squeeze the living day lights out of him. Rolling my eyes I took a seat.

Getting off his desk he jumped off and sat on his chair. 'Did you make a decision yet, honey. 'Don't call me that', I hissed. It felt like venom coming from his mouth. 'Then will darling, jaanu, jaan, baby, babe work.', he kept a straight face as he threw nicknames all over the place. Whatever!

'Why did you call me Mr.Raizada'. Folding his hands he leaned closer towards the desk. "Very well", he muttered. 'There is a family gathering and I need to attend it at 7pm.'

'So?', I cut him in between'. 'Let me continue Ms.Gupta', he harshly replied. 'I am going to attend that so you will be joining me, try wearing something nice', he eyed me from top to bottom saying that last bit. I chattered my teeth in anger.

'And What makes you think I will attend', I retorted. 'So be ready at 6pm..You may leave', he pointed to the door as he buried his face in the nearby file. Jerkhole. Yes the combination of a jerk and a*shole, that he so happens to be. Just watch karma will bite him on that little sexy arse of his one day.

'Why don't you go to the club pick up a random stripper, take her to the family gathering and better yet marry her not for three months but for eternity, okay', I hurried from there, went to my office to grab my things and left for my house. Marriage my foot.

I was crunching on a chocolate granola bar as I sat down infront of tv to watch something entertaining, just as the door bell rang. I wondered who that could be. Somehow I really wish it wasn't Mr.raizada but yet I did wish he came. Pushing the thoughts to the side I got off and went for the door. I soon as I opened it, the sight before me left me gobsmacked. I believe my jaw reached the ground. Literally.

Note:So someone asked my why is the contract marriage 3months not 6 etc. So the thing is Arnav must be married before the age of 30 and he is turning 30 in 3 months. so at 30 he will be back at his regular bachelor life. Understood!
