CHAPTER FOUR

A voice boomed !!!

Arnav ji where is Akash? Khushi are you fine?

A bomb dropped on Khushi's head!

Payal was standing behind them confused.

All three were looking weirdly at each other!

Payal's POV

Arnav ji is here with Khushi! Do they know each other? He is breaking her fast and she seems shocked at my presence. Something is wrong. But what is it? Arnav ji is also looking disturbed as well.

Arnav's POV

This girl's name is Khushi. How do Payal know her? Did she come here with Payal? Payal seems disturbed seeing me with Khushi. Something is wrong. But what is it? Khushi is also looking distressed.

Khushi's POV

He is Arnav. Akash's relative. Is he Arnav Singh Raizada? Is he the one? No..no..!! It can't be. He must be some other Arnav not Singh Raizada. How will I cheat this man? How will I spy on him? How?? Why???

She came here to get information of her victim and she herself got victimized. If she had prior information about him she could have been successful. When all her feelings were pouring out..

With hope in heart and no doubt in her mind Khushi decided to confirm.

Khushi: so you are the Arnav Singh Raizada of AR Group?

Payal: Khushi?? You seriously don't know him??

There was much sarcasm in Payal's voice as she had seen Arnav breaking Khushi's fast.

Arnav: yes I am Arnav Singh Raizada. The media doesn't know me by face. How will she know me Payal?

Khushi: but I have heard a lot about you Sir. I mean your designs. Are you going to..

Payal: now I know why you didn't let anyone know you "by face" Arnav ji.

Arnav avoided Khushi and answered Payal.

Arnav: Payal, Akash is stuck up with work so you have to come to RM to break your fast.

Payal: but what about Khushi?

Khushi was already crumbling inside and she needed some solitude to get out of this mess. But everything was not on the fair side. She had already set fire in her heart and had made it vulnerable and there were two options left for her survival. One was to let the feelings ride over her duty and get her heart burned and purified in love or to perform her duty denying her feelings and get her heart disintegrated and engulfed into the fire and destroyed.

Both the options were open to her and both had great consequences. She didn't know what to do. She was at a complete loss. Either she will deny going with Payal to RM for her duty or will go with Arnav to RM for her feelings. There was a tug of war going inside her and she decided to deny her feelings. She tried to put the stone of duty on her heart filled with feelings.

Khushi: Payal you proceed with him. I had done for the reason I was here.

Khushi looked at Arnav once and with quick pace she left them.

Arnav looked unconcerned in front of Payal but he couldn't understand why Khushi hurriedly left. What was she hiding he thought.

Khushi's eyes had welled up with tears and she cursed her BOSS for her vulnerable condition which she was in now.

She was burning with guilt and anguish at the same time and her heart and mind were poles apart from each other now.

She decided to confront her BOSS.

Khushi had been called back to Delhi. It was time for her BOSS to reveal everything to her.

Khushi's BOSS: Arnav Singh Raizada was in Germany in 2001 while his fiancee was working in the AR group branch in Washington D.C., U.S.

When the terrorist attack happened in U.S. many people died along with his fiancee.

He was in a state of helplessness at that time. As he was in Germany he got trained from some people or organizations that were related to terrorist group and later he returned to India.

Khushi: so he is related to terrorist groups?

BOSS: no. he never was and never will be. He is related with a group of white hat hackers and he breaks the economy of those companies in India those help in terrorism financing.

Khushi: so is he a part of RAW??

BOSS: no. He wanted to be. He had contacted and informed us about the Mumbai attack in India of 2008. Many political issues happened and he left India after that and concentrated in business completely out of aversion.

Khushi: he is after all a son of business magnate and when he acquired the power he thought to utilize it rather than saving the nation. He is after all one of the most eligible bachelors and now you are saying that he is also an anti-terrorist agent. And wasn't he in hit-list?

BOSS: no, he had always kept himself away from paparazzi. I really wonder how he had been successful by keeping himself away from the screen although he is an integral part of glamour world. Few months back he had returned to India and it is not known to the media still now. We know that he has started working against anti-terrorism. But the way he is working is against International laws and regulations. We want him to join us. But there is neither proof nor credentials by which we can make him a part in our anti-terrorism wing.

Khushi: So what I have to do?? Extract all the information??

BOSS: yes. That was part of the mission. But the main part was to exploit or somehow take an advantage of his past to get the knowledge about the terror attacks of 2013 so that we can take precaution.

Khushi: sir, so a nation's best of bureaucrats fail against Arnav Singh Raizada. And you want me to exploit him to get the information?

BOSS: yes. There are many talented people in India who works independently. We have realised our folly and want them to be a part of us.

Khushi: hmm. Then why have you sent me? You could have sent any other man or woman.

BOSS: We had sent our best men but all had failed. So you were the last ray of hope my child.

Khushi: But why was I sent? Is there any special reason?

BOSS: yes. You have a resemblance like his late fiancee which can make him weak and surrender.

Khushi: I can't play with his feelings. This is injustice. What would happen if he falls in love with me? Or what will happen if I fall in love with him? What will happen then?

BOSS: this will be your last project then if you fall in love with him, which you will not, I have that faith in you. If he falls for you, he will confide to you and you will inform us.

Khushi: and what will I do after getting the information?? Leave him as a broken man?? Sir, you never had a family or had ever loved someone that's why you could say words like a heartless person.

BOSS: that's why we had chosen you Khushi Gupta. We wanted someone like you who is equally heartless like me. But I think you had been encountering him as a person and not as a mission which made you say so. I had this anxiety that you may fall for him as he is no doubt a very charming and a respectable gentleman. That's why I had not sent you any prior details which can make you refuse to work. Khushi Gupta, you owe to your nation. You father had served the country and had even embraced death for it. Being his daughter this is an injustice not only to your nation, but also to your father and sadly to me as well. I had raised you like my daughter. I have a family. And that is you my child. Don't..

The conversation went on and things didn't happen in her favour and she had to return with a heavy heart and a burdened soul. She had to execute her responsibility forgetting her new found feelings for Arnav Singh Raizada.
