Garuda - vahana of Lord Vishnu.

Actually, Garuda is our kul-devta (we refer to Garuda as "Vainateya" - meaning, the son of Vinata).

From Wikipedia: His stature in Hindu religion can be gauged by the fact that an independent Upanishad, the Garudopanishad, and a Purana, the Garuda Purana, is devoted to him. Various names have been attributed to Garuda - Chirada, Gaganeshvara, Kamayusha, Kashyapi, Khageshvara, Nagantaka, Sitanana, Sudhahara, Suparna, Tarkshya, Vainateya, Vishnuratha and others.

P.S.: Sorry - I don't know how to make the link clickable...

Rantideva
A devotee of Lord Vishnu - who even after fasting for 48 days gave away his food to a beggar, a brahmana, and a farmer (Who were actually BRahma, Vishnu and SHiva). He also gave water to an untouchable, saying that Lord Hari dwells in all beings. The Chandala turned out to be Yamaraj who didn't take him to Yamaloka. Lord Vishnu was pleased with Rantideva's selflessness and granted him Moksha. His story is here: SB 9.21: The Dynasty of Bharata
