budget of JODHA-AKBAR

anyone has any idea..what kind of money ekta must have spend on the show...if she is really going to close it down...it might actually be a huge huge loss.

Dear why don't we wait until something official before worrying about the show shutting down? All you're doing is making yourself sick with worry😊
As for cost of show: between the amount of people, the sets, and the promotions? This is Ekta magus opus, I imagine it cost a pretty penny especially as her other two shows don't need huge budgets.
She did the same, on a lower scale, I think, for KHMK, but since that garnered low TRP's, and hence low ad revenue, it was shut down.
If you think about it, the only real reason to shut down JA would be if it had low TRP's- all these protests serve to make it more famous and may actually cause people to tune in a see what all the fuss is about. Right now, these protests are things the government has to deal with as they are a public menace. And EK, Balaji and Zee has the legal team on hand if they want to go to court.

No, they can't force her to stop the show, not really. The ban in question has to come from the central gov if I understand correctly, and that would happen only if there were nationwide protests- something to show that the benefits of pulling the show would be greater than the costs. Even if the CM sends a letter, there is no obligation to actually do anything because it is the concerns of one community vs. the business interest of a major channel- and again, you have lawyers to combat that who are strengthened by the precedent of the Supreme Court when they removed the ban on the Jodha-Akbar movie.
Like I said before, if the protests turn violent against the channel or Balaji, then perhaps she would reconsider, but there are a lot of options here before she will shut down the show.
Above everything else, lets remember Ekta is a shrewd businesswoman and she will look at the profit/loss before anything else. In my opinion, if JA is bringing in TRP's and ad revenue? No reason to take it off air.
And like I said before, all the controversy does is widen the viewership pool. If the general viewer reaction is the same of the forum's I don't see why they won't tune in to see what the fuss is about.
