Here'a little recap on who Mayuri is.
A while back, soon after Om's death, Gunn was to have Pragati and so she went to her mom's place. When Parvati went to visit Gunn one day she saw this energetic girl playing on the road whose name we later learnt was Mayuri.
Mayuri was Gunn's best friend and through her became acquainted with Parvati. Mayuri used to come and go to the Agarwal Mansion and help Parvati out in many ways, she is actually the one who typed Parvati's book "Katha" on the laptop while Paro recited it.
Mayuri's father was an employee at Atlantic Industries - Suyash's company. While visiting him one day she had a terrible run in with Nikhil Mehra and from then on the two of them used to spit fire at each other, much like Metilli and Adi do now.
However, into the middle of this mix jumped Shikhar who seemingly was in love with Mayuri. Then on the night of Kamal and Trishna's wedding, Mayuri was drugged and when Shikhar went to her assistance their picture was taken and MMSd to everyone at the party.
When the MMS scandal got out of hand, Shikhar agreed to marry Mayuri but she and Parvati soon found out that it was Shikhar himself who had been responsible for the scandal because he wanted revenge on Mayuri for the way she behaved with Nikhil. When Parvati fought for Mayuri and took her to court, they were fighting a loosing battle until Suyash Mehra himself made an appearence in court and claimed that his son was guilty.
Shikhar then shot Parvati in an outrage and was sent to jail for attempting to destroy Mayuri's reputation and attempting murder on Parvati. While in jail Shikhar met Machan Garg and together the two of them swore vengeance on Parvati.
During this time Kamal and Trishna threw Parvati in the asylum because they were being threatened to do so by someone who had kidnapped Shruti on her way back to Mumbai from Australia. After Parvati was thrown in the asylum, it was Mayuri who joined forces with Suyash to get her out. Together the three of them hatched a plan and while Parvati was out taunting Kamal, Mayuri was inside the asylum prentending to be Parvati.
The truth came out eventually and Parvati and Suyash suspected Shikhar to be behind the kidnapping but it was soon revealed that the kidnappers were none other than Pallavi and Sasha.
Afte that storyline was over, we didn't see Mayuri again until yesterday and now she's married to Shikhar Mehra and is the mother of Vikram Aditya Mehra.
The character of Mayuri was initially played by Adita Wahi who used to play the role of Shefali on Saarrthi. However, as of yesterday, the role of Mayuri is played by Preeti Gupta who also plays Kashish's latest rival on KTH, the girl who's madly in love with Abhishek Chauhan who is ironically played by Rohit Bhakshi who is Shikhar Mehra in KGGK.
