Viren lay in bed not being able to sleep. He kept checking on Jeevika and at Zaaine making sure they both were okay. He was feeling restless, or maybe it was excitement 😛 When the clock struck twelve it would be their fifth anniversary. Viren was on his phone' just waiting to see the 12:00 so he could give a kiss to his wife. And as soon as it struck, he leaned over her finding her soft lips and kissed her. In return he got a precious smile with her eyes closed and two words "Happy Anniversary." Jeevika somehow knew her husband would be doing this and also knew he wouldn't sleep till the clock struck 12. She turned around now facing him and wrapping her arms around him and somehow hiding in him' wanting him to cover her up with himself. Finally the both of them slept now, feeling nothing but comfort with each other. ❤️
Jeevika woke up around 8 in Viren's arms. He was still asleep and she noticed Zaaine was sleeping with his mouth open on the other bed too 😆 She hugged him tighter waking him up slightly. He didn't say anything, but his actions spoke everything! He hugged her back and kissed her face sweetly. 😳
j - "I don't feel like going anywhere today"
v - "Why are you feeling sick?"
j - "No I'd rather just lay here with you next to me instead of going hiking or sightseeing"
v - "I thought someone couldn't stand me for more than twenty-four hours" 😲
j - "Yeah well I needed a little dosage of my Zaaine too"
v - "And what about today"
j - "Today is our day so just you and me" she said kissing his lips ❤️
v - "You do realize if it weren't for Zaaine we probably wouldn't be here today celebrating our fifth anniversary?"
j - "Fine then you celebrate your anniversary with Zaaine" she said getting upset now.
v - "I didn't mean it like that love. I just meant'"
j - "I don't care what you meant" she said getting up from the bed and walking inside the bathroom.
Viren slapped his forehead not believing he got her upset this early in the morning and on their special day. Viren quickly left the room to go downstairs and get some roses for Jeevika. He came back upstairs and now waited for her to step out the bathroom. He didn't know what was taking her so long. He started getting worried so he decided to knock on the door.
v - "Jeevika?"
He heard her sobbing inside.
v - "I'm sorry Jeevs I didn't mean to hurt you like that. Please open the door"
She wasn't listening to him and he was getting restless outside. Girls and their moodswings he thought to himself.
v - "Jeevs please open up" he said knocking on the door.
z - "Daa whats wrong" he said getting up from the bed.
v - "I made your mom cry"
z - "Why Daa?"
v - "By accident" he sad sadly 😔
Now Zaaine tried helping Viren by knocking on the door.
z - "Mommy, daa is very very sorry"
v - "Jeevs come on open it up now at least. Please"
Jeevika wiped her tears away and opened the door. She saw Zaaine standing looking worried so she picked him up and gave him a kiss.
z - "Don't cry mommy" he said wiping her tears.
j - "I'm fine. You go inside and take a bath fast. We have to leave in a little bit"
z - "Okay" he said kissing her cheek.
Atleast Zaaine was able to make her smile a little. Viren knew something else must have been bothering her. What he said couldn't have made her that upset. I mean true she had her moments, but Jeevika was still able to control her emotions. He wanted to know what was upsetting her. As Zaaine went inside the bathroom closing it, Jeevika went and sat on the bed just closing her eyes for two mins. When it shut though more tears started pouring out and her eyes started flinching.
v - "Jeevika whats wrong? What happened?" he said sitting next to her.
She looked at him, and before she could answer they heard a knock on the door. Viren went to open it while Jeevika wiped her tears away.
zy - "Goodmorning and Happy Anniversary"
v - "Thank You very much" he said trying to smile.
zy - "Is something wrong?"
Viren closed the door getting out the room.
v - "She's crying"
zy - "Why?"
v - "I have no idea. She got pissed because I said that if it wasn't for Zaaine we wouldn't be here celebrating today and then she left and locker herself in the bathroom"
zy - "Something else is wrong with her, she wouldn't cry over that"
v - "That's exactly what I'm saying. I don't know what though"
zy - "Just get ready and come down for breakfast. If she doesn't get better I'll talk to her"
Viren looked at Zoya with these pity eyes.
zy - "Okay okay fine, I'll go talk to her now"
Viren opened the door again to see Jeevika getting her outfit out. Viren headed straight inside the bathroom knowing Zaaine was still inside while Zoya entered to talk to Jeevika.
j - "Done gossiping about me with my husband?"
zy - "What's wrong Jeevs?"
Viren tried listening from the bathroom, but the shower was on. He just freshened up and helped Zaaine quickly get ready. After he was ready the two of them went outside to the room to see Zoya and Jeevika talking on the bed. Zaaine ran to Zoya giving her a tight hug.
zy - "Goodmorning Zaaine"
z - "Goodmorning"
zy - "Ready for some breakfast?"
z - "Yes and coffee too please. You promise yesterday to get, but me fell asleep"
zy - "Oh shoot. I totally forgot. Okay lets go downstairs and we will get some. Jeevika, Viren you guys come fast"
j - "Okay" she said finally smiling.
As soon as Zaaine left with Zoya, Jeevika smiled at Viren and went inside the bathroom. Atleast she was smiling again he thought to himself. Viren lay back down for ten minutes until Jeevika stepped out with her hair dripping. Viren stood up and grabbed her hand bringing her close to him. He was going crazy smelling her from her back.
v - "I'm sorry, and I love you"
j - "I'm sorry, I just got'"
v - "Emotional?"
j - "Yeah" she said holding his head as he continued hugging her from the back.
v - "You want to tell me whats wrong"
j - "Dad's birthday today"
Viren felt a little bad now for not remembering. That was the reason why Jeevika wanted to get married on this very day five years ago, knowing how special this birthday was. Both of them never really talked about their families, more over Jeevika. The pain that her father had gone through with cancer, and her mom leaving her with beeji was something that stung in her heart a lot. And Viren knew how close she was to her father.
v - "That's not something to cry about Jeevs"
Jeevika turned around hugging Viren and crying on him.
j - "I really miss him Viren" she said sobbing to him.
Viren rubbed her back trying to make her feel better.
v - "It's okay, I'm sure he is missing you too. I'm sure he's looking down at you wishing he could be here with us, especially you and Zaaine"
Jeevika hugged Viren and he held onto her tightly. He remembered that day when Jeevika broke her silence on her family for the first time. Told him and explained why she wanted to be a doctor and in which conditions she was sent here to study. She had lost her father, and with that lost her mother who handed her responsibility off to Beeji and Beeji had sent her over here. And it wasn't long till her last remaining family member went far away as well. Life was difficult and filled with wounds and cuts, but somehow Viren had healed those wound in Jeevika's life. But today, after the longest time she missed him and she missed them. She'd do anything to have him back, but knew that wasn't possible.
v - "No more crying. How is someone so strong like you crying today?"
j - "Just when I see you and Zaaine together, it makes me miss my dad a lot" she said in short breaths unable to stop crying.
v - "I realize that you miss them a lot, but Jeevs you still have memories to cherish. You still remember those times you spent with your parents and your family. I don't even have that. Think about the family that we do have. All our friends, and you me and Zaaine"
j - "Viren I really don't want to go anywhere right now" she said continuing to cry
v - "Okay. Let me go shower quickly then we'll decide"
Jeevika just slightly nodded and got back inside the bed closing her eyes and trying to calm down. Viren on the other hand quickly went to get ready. Jeevika was laying in bed just staring out the window calmly.
v - "Jeevika lets go eat some breakfast at least"
j - "I'm not hungry Viren. Why don't you go with everyone else. I'll meet you guys tonight or something"
v - "What are you going to do by yourself all day today?"
j - "I just don't want to be around anyone for sometime"
v - "Can I stay here at least?"
j - "No you need to be with Zaaine right now. Can't leave him alone again today"
v - "Okay text me if you feel better and I'll come and get you" he said kissing her forehead.
Jeevika just smiled a little at him and then he left her giving her time and space.
