Part 1
"Sir Mr. White is here for the meeting", said Jenny as she entered his office breaking his thoughts as well as the silence that surrounded the office.
As he looked up from the picture he was staring at he saw the beautiful young lady stand in front of him all stressed and tired like she had been running the marathon. "breath for me Jenny"
"But sir there are so many things we have to get done with before you leave for your next trip to Germany" she was the only lady in the entire office who didn't have a crush. On him. She treated him as her boss in office and as a friend when she met him outside of the office. She knew he was different than other guys to her he was like the older brother she never had. He had supported her whenever she needed him. She had always wanted to know who the lucky girl was that he loved so much. There had to be something in the girl who he loved so much. Angad never said anything about the girl which is why nobody ever asked him.
"I know but you need to relax" he told her. "Send Mr. White in my office and please don't stress yourself over all these things, everything will be I am sure we won't have any trouble.
"Yes sir" was all she said. Angad looked at the picture one last time before putting it away. Minutes later Jenny was back in the office but this time she had come with a flower bouquet. The flowers were his favorite ones roses but nobody knew this except for…, then he thought maybe she was here. "Flowers for you had come"
"Thanks Jenny" he wanted to know who had sent him the flowers because nobody knew he liked roses. He had started to dislike parties and celebrations ever since he lost his love. He looked at the flowers and then tried to find the card which would have had the name. But instead of a name the card had a "????????" on it.
"Roses are the flowers for love Mr. Khanna are you thinking of settling down because I would never miss that celebration" Mr. White entered the office. He was the only man Angad knew was happy at all times in his life. No matter what happened he would always be calm and never show his sorrows on his face.
"Not that I know of but if I ever do I wouldn't want you to miss that celebration, after all there couldn't be celebration without you being there". Angad thought of him as a father friend which he always wanted.
After Mr. White left Angad finished his work and got ready to go and meet his favorite person in the whole world his dadi. He always went to seek blessings from her on his birthday and to eat the delicious chocolate cake she made. Before he left his eyes ones again went on the bouquet of roses that was sitting on his desk. He wanted to find out who had sent him the flowers but decided to do that later.
"Are you leaving the office for the day" Jenny entered the office again looking panicked like she was looking this morning. Angad was quite shocked after seeing her so tensed twice in one day, especially because she was always unruffled even when the company was in crises.
"No but maybe you should" Angad knew something else was also wrong because Jenny was to calmest person he had known. "I go on trips like this one all the time then why are you so tensed, is everything alright"
"Yes of course" she lied trying to hide what she and everyone in the office were doing behind his back.
"Well in that case I will see you later" he was surprised nobody in the office remembered his birthday. He was a little happy too because he did not want anyone to remember.
Angad knocked on the door and waited and after couple of minutes the door opened and he saw his dadi smile the warmest smile ever seen. She was not his blood related dadi but she meant a lot to him. She and Angad had a bond which didn't need blood to be created.
Angad touched her feet and hugged her tightly, she knew he was missing his love. She knew everything about him and about his feelings. Three years ago when she was left by her own children on the road to die she had met Angad who at the time was also broke and homeless, Angad remembered how he had met her for the first time.
Flashback
A lady sat on a bench crying remembering her family and the good memories she had. When a young guy walked passed her looking pale like he had not eaten for a couple of days. She looked at him walking passed her but to him it was like the world didn't exist or that the lady on the bench was invisible. He sat on the bench next to hers and after ten minutes she walked up to him.
"Here eat this son" when he didn't budge she sat next to him. "Think of me like your grandma please have my bread." Hearing her words tears came into his eyes and without further thinking he ate the bread she had offered. The tears told her that he was lost and needed a shoulder to cry on. That night Angad cried his heart out telling her his story.
"You won't get you love back by crying, you have to win it back" was what she had told him.
Present
Angad knew she would always be there for him no matter how poor or how rich he is. "Happy Birthday" she told him breaking the hug as well his thoughts. She had never made him realize that he was an orphan. They entered the house and Angad ran to the kitchen looking like a four year old waiting for his Christmas presents.
"I love you I love you I love you" was all he said after looking at the cake. She came in after him and made him cut the cake and fed him. "So what's my present" Angad with her was a different person. He didn't Care about a thing when he was with her.
