Chapter#16

Khushi had slipped of to the kitchen. She was oblivious that Arnav had woken up the second he heard Khushi's anklets. He wasn't even asleep, he was just there lying down with closed eyes thinking about what has happened. He decided to follow her, curiosity plays with every ones minds.

Khushi knew that this wasn't her house, also that she'd be dead if the 'Hitler' found her but she wanted to make Jalebi's desperately. Khushi had a sweet tooth, no actually sweet-teeth; she could eat anything that was sweet in-front of her. It also helped her cover up her depression. Where as Arnav being a diabetic, hated sweet things. If he couldn't have it no one could. Obviously, Anjali being his Di had decided long time ago that they wouldn't eat something like that in-front of him. He only needed sweet when his sugar levels were low.

She was in the kitchen when she looked around to find what she needed. It took her a while as she opened every cabinet. She was talking to herself and opening everything that came in front of her.

Arnav was standing there looking at her as if she was crazy. He would die but never admit that Khushi being her crazy, unique self had created a soft spot for herself in his heart that was dark all these years.

Khushi now had started to mix the batter and Arnav was still there admiring her but then realization hit him and he became angry. He was about to go when he heard foot steps; as he turned around he saw Anjali descending the stairs.

"Dammit! What a timing!" – Arnav whispered on his lips.

Anjali saw Arnav quickly walking towards the kitchen. Anjali slightly smiled as she saw Khushi in the kitchen too.

"Ye kya ker rahi ho?" –Arnav said in his husky voice.

Khushi got startled by his voice. She knew she was doomed, but his sweet husky voice made her think twice about 'being doomed'. The clever Anjali had hid behind the pillar to look at the two-love-birds.

Khushi POV

Whenever I think of ignoring him, he starts being all sweet to me. Why? His sweet-honey-like husky voice was so hypnotizing. All the rules that I made were long gone away from my mind. "He was up?" How? Why? I didn't even make any sound. Yes, my life could get worse than that of what I thought before.

He starting walking towards me and I simultaneously took steps backwards.

"What are you doing here at this hour, Khushi?" –He said as I bumped into the wall and my eyes were as round as a car wheel.

Khushi? Khushi? My name sounded so good from his lips. What are you thinking Khushi Kumari Gupta? Answer him!!!

"Ap… Ap… say matlab?" –Shit Khushi follow the rules. Rules!

"Matlab tou hai." –He smirked and inched a little closer.

"I… I… was looking for food. I was hungry." –I looked anywhere but his face. Does he sleep walk? Because he was smiling, well kind of – He is such a devil!

"Oh! And what are these ingredients for?" – He inched even closer. I couldn't even look up because if I did our lips would touch. I could feel his breath on my lips. I smelled his cologne, he smelled awfully good. No Khushi stop! You can't fall more for someone who is forbidden.

"I… um… I … was... I was making Jalebi's. I was going to I mean." –I almost whispered. My voice was suddenly dying out.

"Well I'd like to see you make them or try to make them with you." –He whispered with that devil smirk on his face.

Oh God no!
