One of the old but very apt tagline of D3 proclaims - Some people are born to dance. One look at some of the most mesmerizing performances done by Shantanu Maheswari and you would know exactly what D3 team meant with that statement. And yeah after watching him perform and one could easily state - D3 team couldn't find a better poster boy than Mr. Maheswari to justify that line.
Over the course of two years we have been so impressed with Shantanu's ever growing acting prowess that it almost slips our mind to properly praise Shantanu's dancing skills which are seriously unparallel on the show. He may have started with a small bit of solo segment on the show but his dancing feats were well known to people already. And from there on he had added some of the most dazzling performances show had ever witnessed in his repertoire. Whether intense solo on Bounce, or the emotional Dil Samabhal Za Zara, or the energetic Dhoom Machale - You name it and he had done it all. And not just solo he and KAS and he and Maccy have been part of some of the most amazing dance sequences of the show. Most recent the dance sequence on Ishaqzade and Ishq Wala Love. Could anyone forget Shancedon performance on Meri Pant Bhi Sexy ever?
Shantanu as dancer couldn't be described without talking about his duets with Sneha and Vrushika on the show which has been simply mesmerizing. Whether the hot and intense Haye Rama or the lyrical Yaadein; the entertaining Aaja aaja or emotional Maula mere maula, the engaging tango or the energetic Ainvayi Ainvayi . Each performance has been one amazing experience. And all this apart he has been one important part of D3 team performances. In fact one post about his dancing prowess is incomplete without talking about his choreography skills. But I am afraid since this post is Shantanu oriented I wouldn't do proper justice to another dancing talent Maccy. So may be about that in some other post.
Well now the main purpose of the entire list is to bring to everyone's attention how much each dance has been different from each other. It's almost bewitching how many genres on which he had perform over the course of two years and that too like a boss. His swift moves, perfect stance and flawless expressions make his each performance simply breathtaking. But more than that what I consider as the biggest attribute of Shantanu is his stage presence is simply amazing. There is whole different aura about him that makes his performances even more hypnotic and enthralling.
Even after being such an amazing performer it's kind of sad that we still do not have as many performances from Shantanu as someone talented as him should have. There is especially a serious lack of his solo sequences on the show. And personally I think his talent is not done a full justice even in majority of the group acts which is totally wrong both from Shantanu as dancer [respective as well as Swayam the character. There is much more to Shantanu the dancer which is still to be seen and I really hope CV's don't let this talent powerhouse skills go to waste. Hopefully we fans would get to see some of his solo's soon and his dancing talent getting the respect and justice which it deserves.
