I agree w/ Sia - the way they treated Kartikeya's wedding was just disgraceful. In all scriptures, either Ganesh or Kartikeya were married, but since this serial is a mix & match, it only made sense that they both were.

But the way they showed it was horrendous. Having shown Kartikeya as the elder brother, it didn't make sense that they show his marriage as happening last. Even at the grihapravesh, they showed Parvati doing the varan of first Buddhi/Siddhi and then Devasena. How does that work? In all marriage situations like this, if 2 brothers get married at the same time, the varan is done first to the brides of the eldest brother, and then the youngest. If multiple brides, then within that, in the sequence of the first bride to marry, then the next & so on.

However, the worst aspect of this was that they had a week's worth of episodes building up to Ganesh's wedding, w/ one that rivalled that of Mahadev. But how did Kartikeya's wedding go? In half this episode, it was done & dusted. The Krittikas made a cameo appearance, but after that, it was a quick affair, and then it was all over.

In fact, the most telling aspect was that they gave Ravan's wedding more importance than Kartikeya's 🤢 Not only did they show his marriage, they showed his S/R as well 🤢 They really have their priorities straight.

For me, this was the last episode of DkDM, given Parvati's exit. I did see the Vedavati episode, which might just as well have not been there.

Vrish, it seems in Rajasthan, both the sons are married and Parvati is shown having four bahus.

In the rajasthani version too, K's wives are Valli and Devasena. (courtesy Nandini)
