I agree with you. Glad someone understands how I feel. I really wanted them to be temporarily separated but come together at the mandap or whatever. And I wanted Guman to be told to butt out by Laxminandan in defense of his son. But no, the guy accuses of Saras of being weak in the face of love when he himself is weakened by Guman and his "love" for her. He ignored his own son for the same reason and this is what we get, a scarred man who listens to his fear instead of his heart.

And then to say Saras is dead for him, another show of arrogance especially considering that his first wife died by her own hand and his son had to live with the consequences. Danny had every advantage that Saras did not have, a life in Dubai and two parents who loved him unconditionally. Laxminandan needs to get a life.

Not to mention it was Vidyachatur and Kumud who brought Saras and his father together in Gujrat, by making them sit together in the kitchen and by giving them beds outside to sleep under the stars. The man showed real feelings for the son he always had but never acknowledged. Laxminandan is just defensive because he knows he is at fault, his pride is stung because of a business deal and his reputation is on the line. He of all people should know what it means to be humiliated in front of everyone, how can he ask Vidyachatur to go through it? Even if he didn't know about the second rejection, can he not understand that his son is in pain and not thinking straight?
