My upcoming show Mera Tera Rishta Purana is based on Manju Kapur's novel, "Custody" . The plot and the characters of my show will be based on this novel and the show will air exclusively on Star Plus.
The basic premise of the novel is, about a girl named Shagun, who ditches her husband, Raman, for the sake of another man in her life. Raman takes the legal course for getting the custody of their two children. We have roped in TV actress Divyanka Tripathi, the show will also mark comeback of our actor Cezanne Khan to Balaji.
Aly Goni too has been finalized to play the parallel lead and will play main negative character, who will be the younger brother of Cezanne in the show. And a newcomer Sagar Saikia will finally will grace the small screen with a very strong character.Watch out for the new lad for the powerhouse performance.
We are planning to have a press conference sometime by next month.
