Lots of random thoughts on this issue
- Smart move that CVs remembered to provide a reson for Danny's exit. He will go to London to realize that there was no meeting to attend. Btw I thought he didnt know much about business dealings. In any case, he will be the 'bharat' initially unearthing his mom's con job and then the 'laxman' coming back to support his bro. Thats when Danny-Kumari will start.
- Don't we all need a close friend and confidante other than family ' the person who tells us the blatant truth. Loved Sunny's dialogues today. Saras why didn't you confide in him before you spoke to her? Here's a toast to all the 'jigari dosti' around the world.
- I kind of understand Saras' state of mind. He wants to be the 'mard' in Kumud's life, providing for her in every which way. And now, he is going through an identity crisis. He has always been impulsive, but isnt that one of the reason we love the passion of Samud?
- Kumud will be back to her strong self tomorrow. But a part of the reason is that her life has been awash with motherly and paternal affection. They are her moral compass and her anchor. Alas, Saras has been denied that always. The trauma of seeing your mom take her life in front of your own eyes- what a scar to live with for the rest of our life!!! Given that he has strong moral character in spite of that, makes him strong, not weak. He now needs to bury the ghosts of the past to emerge a stronger man.
- Saras and Kumud both failed the first true adversity in their relationship. He was not stong enough to emerge from the circumstances surrounding his mom's death (albeit too excruciating). And she was more concerned about her Dad's pride and bruised esteem ( I don't fault her one bit for it. What would any other girl do?). The price they pay will be astronomical, but commensurate with the magnitude of their foible. Only time will tell whether they will be able to rise above this and make their relationship stronger, so strong that it becomes a 'misaal'- a blue print for true love
- As regards future tracks, I am convinced now that Kusum will NOT marry Saras. PMS with her sis does NOT allow for that (that is the one potential track that will TOTALLY gross me out) . And given that the guy playing Pramad's character seems to be pretty unimportant, I don't think any HDDCS angle is coming in. Kumud either gets widowed or divorced
- Lastly, on a personal viewing note- while I do like the fact that the novel is being followed, so much sorrow does deprive us of one of the biggest joys of their love- their innocence. We have been robbed of it for ever; I wonder now if I will continue to see each episode multiple times. I will watch it once for sure! As I said, I am watching this one through. I HATE indian soaps ' but I LOVE this one.
