Lots of random thoughts on this issue

  1. Smart move that CVs remembered to provide a reson for Danny's exit. He will go to London to realize that there was no meeting to attend. Btw I thought he didnt know much about business dealings. In any case, he will be the 'bharat' initially unearthing his mom's con job and then the 'laxman' coming back to support his bro. Thats when Danny-Kumari will start.
  2. Don't we all need a close friend and confidante other than family ' the person who tells us the blatant truth. Loved Sunny's dialogues today. Saras why didn't you confide in him before you spoke to her? Here's a toast to all the 'jigari dosti' around the world.
  3. I kind of understand Saras' state of mind. He wants to be the 'mard' in Kumud's life, providing for her in every which way. And now, he is going through an identity crisis. He has always been impulsive, but isnt that one of the reason we love the passion of Samud?
  4. Kumud will be back to her strong self tomorrow. But a part of the reason is that her life has been awash with motherly and paternal affection. They are her moral compass and her anchor. Alas, Saras has been denied that always. The trauma of seeing your mom take her life in front of your own eyes- what a scar to live with for the rest of our life!!! Given that he has strong moral character in spite of that, makes him strong, not weak. He now needs to bury the ghosts of the past to emerge a stronger man.
  5. Saras and Kumud both failed the first true adversity in their relationship. He was not stong enough to emerge from the circumstances surrounding his mom's death (albeit too excruciating). And she was more concerned about her Dad's pride and bruised esteem ( I don't fault her one bit for it. What would any other girl do?). The price they pay will be astronomical, but commensurate with the magnitude of their foible. Only time will tell whether they will be able to rise above this and make their relationship stronger, so strong that it becomes a 'misaal'- a blue print for true love
  6. As regards future tracks, I am convinced now that Kusum will NOT marry Saras. PMS with her sis does NOT allow for that (that is the one potential track that will TOTALLY gross me out) . And given that the guy playing Pramad's character seems to be pretty unimportant, I don't think any HDDCS angle is coming in. Kumud either gets widowed or divorced
  7. Lastly, on a personal viewing note- while I do like the fact that the novel is being followed, so much sorrow does deprive us of one of the biggest joys of their love- their innocence. We have been robbed of it for ever; I wonder now if I will continue to see each episode multiple times. I will watch it once for sure! As I said, I am watching this one through. I HATE indian soaps ' but I LOVE this one.

Yes Mini, good points.

Am puzzled why Kumud bought his rejection when he ws there with her only like 48 hours ago. Why no attempt to understand what happened to him in the interim? Shock interfering with her brains...

I was an avid re-watcher of the old episodes, their romance ws so sweetly presented! With the separation happpening, even the pleasure of re-watching the old episodes has gone!

But still a die-hard fan of SC - it's so different from any other Indian soap...

You've put forward some beautiful points which I can't help but agree.I can't even imagine myself in the shoes of Saras or Kumud..Destiny has indeed played a very sick game with the two new lovers who couldn't bear it and hence have to float in the sea of separation. For me it's just a way to knit a tale of eternal love. Are they eternal lovers atm.. Not for me, Their love need to be more strong where such hardships don't make themselves loose their minds .It'll add to the beauty of their relationship. That stage of new-found love and its happiness is over and the genre where love guves pain and tests u by all its might has started.. Sadly I enjoy this stage more coz of reasons which even i can't decipher. I hardly ever re-watched SC till now but the last 2 episodes made me do that.

Since all formalities of a marriage have taken place between Saras and Kumud (of course a secretive one) I would say that it is inappropriate for Kumud to be 'really' getting married for a second time .That would go against the values a majority of the Indian audience hold for as sacred an institution as marriage.

I agree with you srinibk. But I do think it is good to have a show that challenges our notions of propriety - all epic sagas typically do that.

Guys I agree with all of you. With PMS with one sister and marrying another does not go well at all. It will be Samud all the way. She will be widower very soon...

I want it as asap. I love Samud as a pair. 😃
