WRITTEN UPDATE -7TH JULY 2013

The episode begins with the focus on the night scene of the camping site of the Vanaar sena.In a tent,Rama ,Sugriva,Maharaj Kesari ,Hanuman and Lakshman discuss about the pros and cons and possible ways to cross the mighty ocean to reach Lanka.Rama asks for suggestions from Sugriva discussing ways to cross the ocean.While Maharaj kesari suggests the building of boats ,Jamavant is quick enough to rectify putting forward his opinion that building boats is going to be a time consuming process.Lakshman is in serious contemplating mood and emphasises the need to build something which not only is able to bear the weight of the soldiers but it also needs to be dynamic so that flows towards Lanka too.

The scene shifts to the Lanka palace where Ravan is sitting in his courtroom along with Indrajit Vibhishan , Senapati Parsha and other courtiers too. Ravan addresses the gathering reminding them about the so called threat of war posed by Kishkindha Vanar Sena and those Vanvaasi Rama and Lakshman. Ravan's father-in law expresses his fear stating the common opinion of Lanka people who are anxious due to the threat. Indrajeet intervenes rebuking him about his cowardice .Ravan corrects him reminding that he should show respect to his grandfather. Ravan says whenever some adverse scenario arrives , he always resorts to seek opinions of everyone and thus explains the purpose of this meeting describing how he reconsidered his death sentence for Hanuman after listening to his counsel's advice. Indrajeet mulls over the fact that letting Hanuman evade the death sentence was their greatest mistake . Senapati Prasha reassures that they need not worry. Though they might have managed to reach the sea shore , but it does mean that the army will be able cross the huge ocean measuring 400 yojan .

Vibhishan corrects him bringing forth his point that one cannot undermine Rama's valour specially when have seen one Hanuman almost destroyed and burned all the houses in Lanka causing mass destruction .He also advices not take these threats lightly. Vibhishan glorifies Shri rama which further angers Ravan who yells at him. Vibhishan corrects him trying to knock some sense in Ravan humbly reminding him about the sequence of events. He talks about how Surpanakha, then khar dushan and then his valiant demons all lost and were either killed by Lord Rama or had to run to save their lives.

Ravan is not convinced instead Vibhishan's arguments infuriates him further when yells Vibhishan suggests the handing over of Sita to Lord Rama with honour. Indrajit gets furious and mocks Vibhishan to which he humbly replies that they belong to the prestigious Pulatsya clan and they should honour their name. Vibhishan calls Indrajit's loss of temper as a childish reaction .Indrajit boasts in pride reacting to Vibhishan's taunt of calling him a foolish child. Indrajit lectures about how killed the Kings ,defeated the Eravat elephant and even pulled over Indra from his throne. How can he call him a child?Ravan intervenes and is confident that these Vanvasi and his Vanaar Sena will never be able to cross the ocean..Vibhishan starts talking about the path path of virtue ,rationality and the path of Neeti and Dharma. It's like Kaalratri to kidnap another man's wife ;Vibhishan tries to talk sense but Ravan chides him roaring in anger. He calls Neeti and Dharam -a shield created by cowards to hide behind them. He gets so angry that he warns Vibhishan that he would have slaughtered him for this kind of an argument if he did not happen to be his brother. Vibhishan tries to reason saying that a woman forcibly kidnapped she becomes a poisoned knife bringing forth destruction. He again offers his humble plea sitting near Ravan's feet requesting to offer Sita back with respect and thus bring glory to his name. Ravan takes it as his insult and says that valiant soul never retreats and Neeti is the cover or camouflage of weaklings. Vibhishan begs and prays for the glory of their family name. Ravan out rightly refuses calling him Ghar ka bhedi (TRAITOR )and assumes that Hanuman left his house even while burning the whole Lanka because Vibhishan might have divulged the details of Sita's whereabouts.

Vibhishan begs saying that he has always considered Ravan as a father and prays again to leave Sita and ask for forgiveness from Lord Rama. Ravana asks Vibhishan to vanish from his sight and kicks him. Vibhishan falls down the stairs from the Sinhasan. The courtiers laugh and mock him.

Vibhishan nods his head and says "Vinashkale viparit budhi"--A man buried in ego thinks that even God is a fool and finally they reach their doom laughing like idiots.He continues saying that it's better to die without self- respect. Neeti says he is dead after this insult. So he is leaving Lanka with his order. While leaving he prays to God that he should give some good brains to Ravan. He places his crown at Ravan's feet folding his hands in prayer and walks away. Ravan kicks away his crown with his feet too.

Back in the camping site of the Vanaar Sena on the sea shore, Rama is unhappy and sad and says "Pyasa kuen k paas akar bhi reh gaya..".

Hanuman says let's not lose hope. Rama is disheartened by his incapability to find out a solution and is in despair saying for how long will Sita have to wait for him. Hanuman consoles Rama saying that Mata Janaki trusts HIM.Rama even expresses his concern that this long wait will make Vanar Sena weak. They will lose the motivation due to inaction. Everyone wonders and is in deep contemplation. Lakshman suggests taking a break so that they have ample amount of rest and start early morning with the discussion with renewed vigour.

In Lanka, Vibhishan is upset and decides to leave Lanka in the presence of his counsels but laments at the thought of leaving his mother land .He also feels bad because of his sinful brother ,the whole kingdom and the valiant Rakshas clan is going to suffer. He feels so bad for everyone hurt at the fact that he will have to watch the destruction of his whole kingdom. Everyone suggest that it is best for him to leave. His trusted aids suggest to go to Lord Rama to seek for the welfare for their kingdom .Vibhishan goes to his mother to seek her blessings. Vibhishan describes the whole incident and feels so sorry that because of the sin of kidnapping Sita they will have to pay a price. Mother hears everything with patience , feels sorry .With tears in her eyes ,she condemns Ravan for ill-treating Vibhishan. She asks Vibhishan's order to follow his brother's order. Vibhishan says everyone wants him to go to Rama .Mother Kaikesi is worried and is sceptical about Sri Ram's acceptance of Vibhishan when Neeti says otherwise. Vibhishan nods his head in wonder wondering whether he should become a sage ?Mother Kaikesi advices him to go to Rama without any fear for the welfare of his kingdom. Even if he gets killed this sacrifice will pay his tribute to his people and his clan .She further blesses him saying that if he accepts him and gives his vow ,he will be able to negotiate the sparing of innocent people.She also says that she has heard Raghukul follow their vows to death.She also talks about his father's prophecy while he was leaving for the Himalayas.

The scene zooms to a flashback where Ravan's father talks in the attire of a sage. His father continues that Ravan's end is nearing and Vibhishan will be the cause of salvation of all those demons who accept the path of virtue and righteousness.

Vibhishan is shocked to hear all this .Vibhishan decides to take the last chance and try to convince Ravan once more. Greeting his mother and seeking his blessing he leaves.

In Ravan's chamber , he gets angry when Vibhishan tries to convince him with logics of Shastra, Neeti and Puranas. Ravan's seething rage erupts like a volcano and he is about to kill Vibhishan but Mandodari calms and stops him. Vibhishan leaves.

Back in the camping site , Lord Rama has not slept looks out of window .When Lakshman walks in breaking his trail of thoughts. Rama is very disappointed. He expresses his failure and inability .Lakshman assures that they will get to Lanka very soon and once they find a solution to cross the ocean then nothing will be able to stop them from freeing Sita bhabhi .

Vibhishan flies down to the camping sea shore site, with his aides .Vanara Sena is alarmed ,gives instruction not allow then to talk through. Everyone is alerted calls for Maharaj Sugriva .Sugriva is furious watching them come.Vanars throw Gads at them .Vibhishan tries to discuss while Sugriva decides not to trust him. Vibhishan talks through this and convinces Sugriva to at least give him a chance to speak to Lord Rama.

In Rama's tent everyone discusses the issue of Vibhishan .Raam asks for opinions.People gathered there express their concerns.

Jamvant ' Do not trust him.

Sugriva nods his head in the affirmative

Lakshman 'Rakshas are always dual faced. How can we trust him ?

Angad --Vibhishan must have come to analyse our force .

Finally Hanuman intervenes saying that the it's the actions of a man not the clan of man which decides his goodness.

He further extends the argument that even Bali and Prahlaad belonged to the Rakshas clan but they were Gods born in demon families, similarly Vibhshan is a God born in a Demon clan.He also describes how it was Vibhishan who had divulged the details of Sita's whereabouts to him. So he finally advices that they should embrace and welcome Vibhishan with open arms and honour. Jamvant says Hanuman is intelligent so we agree '.

Hanuman says he had been thinking to go to Vibhishan himself so that he could ask him the solution to cross this ocean to bring the whole army to Lanka.

Lord Rama thinks for a while and asks Sugriva and Angad to bring them here'

PRECAP-A messenger seems to be trying to lure Sugriva with the riches of Lanka to convince him to quit helping Rama. Sugriva is outraged and refuses.
