How r u sure that it is the lookalike that dies? The scenes didn't really indicate that.

It looks like Nimmo perished in the jail, but it was actually Rajeshwari. Since everyone thinks Nimmo is gone, it buys her time to prove her innocence, go after Palaash and save KB. She is the one who knows KB is missing, she has to rescue her. The truth about Palaash set nimmo free.
