I am sure a lot must have been already said who should and should not be allowed to participate as celebrity contestant in JDJ..

Is it fair to pitch a celebrity who can also dance like KVB, Shaan, Arti, Shweta or Drashti ( I know many dont think she can dance 😆 but I think she is a decent one..not the best not the worst) and now probably Sidhart Shukla too (he's improved so much) against someone who is a celebrity because he/she is an excellent dancer ala Mukti or Lauren or Isha last season (though she is an actor too but is actually famous for her dance than acting)

would love to know everyone's views 😃

and it would be appreciated if the comments stick to the topic and are what one feels genuinely..and not just because one like and supports or dislikes and hates a particular celeb 😊

Its like comparing who is a better athlete - Ussain Bolt or a child who is learning to walk ...

Its unfair for the contestants and also for the trained dancers ...

Am i the only one who feels that Colors is digging its own grave by roping very talented ones this time ???

totally agree...i dont favour anyone special(though ppl dont think that way) ...but its pretty clear that jdj has lost its charm just by insulting their own theme of dancing with non dancer celebrities...maybe next seoson we would see DID winners and IDS runner ups posing as celebrities

nice analogy
I guess its kind of unfair but on the other side I believe it does balance to some extent, the fact that whether a performer survives or not is based to a large extent on public votes

I dont think it is the first time that really talented people are being roped in.
last year Ritwik Dhanjani entered as a wild card aswell..he was awesome as a dancer and yes he is more of an actor so cant be strictly compared with likes of Lauren and Mukti but he himself has choreographed a bit in Dubai

Well I have never interacted or seen your post, so rest assured my reply is only going to be based on this comment

I dont think DID or IDS contestants would ever join as celebs in JDJ simply coz Punit, salman , Moheena and now Altaf are all choreographers..
and neither is this the first year that this is happening..last year too Isha was there .

I love seeing Lauren dance ..its a treat ..she is better than Puneet too quite a few times..but I dont how fair it is to other contestants to compete with her

it is.. even more if their job is being a dancer and choreographer... just like Lauren... if was her I wouldn't even said yes to Jhalak.. 😆

we know the profi dancers never win jdj.. most of them don't have a "solid" fanbase to vote for them..

and personally I wouldn't want a trained dancer to win a show like Jhalak.. for that I can watch DID..

Yeah there were dancers last time too ...

But this time there is a better line up - lauren , Kids , Mukthi and improving ones like Shaan ...

And there are many popular ones this time , like Drashti, KVB , Shaan

But when all these reasons are paid a blind eye , and if this is going to be judged as a dance show , then it must be either lauren / kids/ mukthi

It's actually unfair to both the sets of contestants you have mentioned. KVB, Shweta, Dhrashti etc can never match up to the quality of performances Lauren and Mukti dish out! And the celebs like Lauren, Mukti sadly don't have the kind of crazy fan following the other celebs usually the one's in daily soaps have. They are included in the show just to improve the quality of performances and to attract the viewers.

Competition should be of similar level , if trained dancers then all trained dancers
And if amateurs all amateurs
