Hey guys,
Okay I have somewhat recovered from that precap although I don't know what will happen when the actual episode airs 😭
There's been a lot of posts over whether Pramad is negative or positive and whether or not his story with Kumud will turn out to be like Ajay-Ash's story in Hum dil de chuke hai sanam so here's my take on the purpose of Pramad.
What I can gather from all of this is that Pramad isn't supposed to be a 'love interest' for Kumud because Saras will always have that position no matter what happens in their lives. Ultimately Saras and Kumud will always love each other so Pramad isn't taking Saras' place.
Based on last night's episode, it occured to me that Saras isn't ready to commit to anyone just yet because of how vulnerable he is regarding his mother. His character still has a lot of developing to do and marrying Kumud now will halt that process of development.
Why do I say that? I say that because he becomes too dependent on the people he becomes close to and when they are far away from him or they leave him (his mother), he breaks down emotionally and isn't capable of handling anything else. Kumud needs an emotionally stable man who won't run away from social responsibility because of his bad repressed memories. Unfortunately, marriage isn't just about love but also about responsibility.
Pramad, to me, is the character that will act as the catalyst to the development of both Kumud and Saras. He will make them realise that even though they're not physically together, their love has endured this separation. Radha and Krishna never united but their love story has survived all these years because apparently true love never dies.
Personally, I believe that perhaps Saras isn't husband material (don't start throwing things at me) but I feel that he's better suited as a lover than a husband. Pramad may be a better husband than a lover - only because Pramad will be more capable of fulfilling the societal responsibility.
Timing is also a factor. There's always a right time for things to happen and I believe that their time hasn't come because of the whole development thing which I mentioned earlier. The show is about Saraswatichandra so we need to give him time to develop more as a character so perhaps this marriage not happening will be better for the both of them in the long run. As they say: 'If something doesn't work out then God has better things in store for you.'
Stay positive guys! Just keep believing that true love never dies 😊
Do leave your thoughts behind!
Shegufta xx

Love your post. I agree, the story is called 'Saraswatichandra' for a reason...it's the love story of Kumud and Saras...not Kumud and Pramad. It's about the journey of love, trials and tribulations Kumud and Saras will have to go through..

Saras has always tried to be the perfect son, and as shown at the beginning of the show, the strain between his dad and him was visible thanks to Gumaan. Kumud changed it...but again, Gumaan played her cards. Saras is the type of guy who doesn't want to hurt anyone, he's been afraid of relationships all his life...and somewhere deep down he knew why his mother suicided, but it suddenly came out in the open and he had to vent out his feelings. He's never had the perfect illusion of a happy family...In that situation, how would he feel if he turned out to be a replica of his dad.,...and not give Kumud the happiness she deserves...so he thought it's better for her to be away from him...cause the only thing he would be able to give in life is pain. He's emotionally unstable atm and he's breaking off the marriage for Kumud's welfare. He's making a sacrifice for her.

As for Pramad, he's obviously going to be shown positive in the beggining, but as the story unravels, his dark secrets will come out as in the book :P And the saga of Kumud's troubled married life, and how Saras will help her through that will come out ;) It's a story worth watching.

u r right in many ways ...but show is following novel at present ...so pramad will not be a worthy husband

as for radha Krishna love story...well its a complex one ...in further religious books they have been described married that too by brhma himself.

so even if they follow radha krishna for saras ...kumud is bound to get married to saras ...which she is virtually and will be practically in future too...as they cant move on with widow remrraige as taboo track :)
