Pay-and-Party
Invited actors of Left Right Left discovered
that they had to pay before entering the venue of their channel's
party to celebrate the 100th episode of their show

Imagine a party where the stars have to pay for their own
booze! This was Sab TV's idea of hospitality when they invited the
stars of Left Right Left to a suburban hole-in-the-wall bar to
celebrate a successful 100-episode run of the show.
Partying ka naya funda: The cast of Left Right LeftTo
begin with, it wasn't even a private party. The stars had to mingle
with hordes of star-struck public in the bar and hold on for dear
life to each other, one even held on to a TV set, to even stand
upright on the overcrowded floor.
Says a source from the production house, "All the cast and crew
got a call or an SMS from the channel on Saturday, inviting them to
a 'celebration party'. Everyone was very happy as it is a great
milestone for the only successful show on the channel. Every actor
was more than eager to go to the party. (Only Rajeev Khandelwal,
Rajesh Khera and director Anshuman Singh weren't all that keen to
attend.)
So, the shoot was wrapped up early and everyone headed for the
grand bash. Shockingly, there was no private party at all. Most of
the actors had to pay to enter the venue. The place was overcrowded,
as it is on any normal day. There was no co-ordination at all. Some
of them had to pay for their drinks too. As a result, most of the
cast left the place as early as possible. It was a poor show
altogether.
A still from Left Right LeftThe cast and the crew of
SAB's are fuming over the humiliation they had to face. An actor on
the condition of anonymity says, "No one was there to receive us. We
had to pay to enter, and to top it all, we had to pay for our drinks
too. Except Vikas Behl, business head of the channel, no big shot
was there. There was no room to even stand properly. Funnily,
Priyanka had to hold on to a television set to stand. So, most of
the actors left the place as early as possible. We had dinner at
another restaurant, to avoid the chaos. I don't understand why the
channel humiliated us this way."
When contacted, Vikas Behl, business head of Sab TV, said, "It was
just a get-together for a drink. We are planning the 100 episodes
party this week. We had a great time with them, including Priyanka
Bassi, Vikas Manaktala and others. I don't want to comment beyond
that."
Surprisingly, actors like Vikas Manktala aka Huda, Priyanka Bassi
and others are denying the fact that they attended the party. "They
don't want to say anything against the channel, although they are
fuming over the issue," a source added.
Although everyone is very annoyed, they are keeping their mouths
shut, as speaking against the channel can ruin their smooth-sailing
career. Now, to appease the miffed cast, the channel is planning a
so-called original private celebration this week.
