Can't understand what maasi did

OK guys I dont get what maasi did in yesterdays episode. Dadi and aditya told her that they need to make Bani cry one way or another and that Maasi needs to do something to make her cry. Maasi says I know exactly what to do... she storms out of the house. In my head I thought she was gonna get Jai back and tell him to do one last favour on Bani by making her cry after that he can go his way. But I was completely wrong she storms out of the house only to break Jai's name plate outside the house. Now what good was that gonna do.. how on earth was that gonna make Bani cry .. she says she needs to separate his name from her name... but that is not possible by breaking a name plate for crying out loud. That was such a waste of a scene in my opinion.

I think the only way to make Bani cry is to let Jai talk to her and let a confrontation take place till then she will not cry. Only when she sees Jai will she be able to vent all her frustation leading to a breakdown.

I hope Maasi soon figures that out.. She wants to punish Jai right ... this was be completely devasting for him to see Bani and to make her cry .. it would be more emotionally tormenting for him to watch her break down than being thrown out of the house.
