Chapter 7 :
It was a night of pure bliss for Uday, lying in his arms was the girl he craved for, more than food or water or even air. Here she was cuddled, so close to his chest . She was holding him as if he, was her teddy. Her beauty never ceased to amaze him. Her 20-something year-old innocent face was too irresistible to any man and he was glad that he possessed the beauty before anyone else could claim her.
He stroked his hand back and forth across her back, even in her sleep she moaned as she felt good. That made him more thrilled; never in his 35 year existence did he meet anyone as exquisite and innocent as her. It was fate who introduced them to each other and the same fate that brought them together.
Lying on the bed and only a bed sheet to cover their nakedness, he felt complete. He pulled her closer to himself. The feel was just ... unimaginable.
He was staring at the ceiling when suddenly the face of a middle aged lady came to his mind ... his wife, Arthi . He did not want to betray his wife, he loved her so much; she was his best friend. But then he did not want to leave this young angel either. He did not know what to do.
Anyway; he did not want to bother about it much, she had woken up and was staring at him, he pulled her close to him for satiating his hunger again.
Would anyone believe it was 3 days since they had united? Usually they met in the afternoon and they returned home by evening, but yesterday he stayed with her throughout the night. It was really amazing!
The rays of the sun woke them up much later, it was 8 30 in the morning, hastily both of them dressed up, as they had their respective works to attend. They separated with a quick kiss.
"Today afternoon?" asked Uday with a smile.
"O Uday - you are so naughty, give me a day to rest, I am bone tired after last night ... you never let me rest"
"Do you NOT want to join me again??" he questioned.
"Uday , please ... tomorrow" , she quickly pecked his lips.

Jaggat was a busy man that day, since his transfer here he never had a time to rest - murders, rapes, burglary and all such crimes were thriving in the neighbourhood. Today it was a dead body with a missing head that gave him a headache. Someone had called the station saying that a body was found behind the garbage bags in an alley ; so he and other police officers were there to investigate. There was a crowd of people assembled there.
"Move, move aside" , ordered the police constables harshly trying to separate the crowds with their lathis and move to the centre where the body was discovered.
The stench was nauseating , Jaggat held his handkerchief to cover his nose. The sight in front was enough to send any weak-hearted person to heaven, but Jaggat was a man , made off stronger stuff. He looked at the body in front of him. it had started to decay, and the body was bloated. Flies were swarming around the body and maggots were feasting on the coagulated blood on the carcass. The forensic scientists were meticulously carrying out their examination. The body was marred with a lot of cuts and blood had clotted and hardened at the cuts and at the base of the neck. A trail of dried blood showed that the body was dragged over here, after the killing, there was no sign of the missing head.
"what can you say about this doctor?" asked Jaggat to the forensic scientist.
"The body is around 2-3 days old, the person was first stabbed in this region(showing a specific region in the body) and stabbed repeatedly (he showed other wounds)and then decapitated. Whoever has done this, knew exactly what he was doing!"
Jaggat nodded his head and then asked: "any idea about whom this guy is?"
"No sir, we need to conduct more tests to be sure. It can take days sir"
"ok, keep me informed" .
All nodded and saluted him as he walked away.

Uday returned home in the evening, he was in a grumpy mood today as he had not gotten his "fix" of Maya in the afternoon.
Arthi was siting on the sofa, her eyes were on Uday the moment he entered the room, Uday felt like some teenager caught by a parent after doing mischief, he chose to ignore her and walked to his room.
"Uday!" called Arthi.
Uday stopped and turned, raising his eyebrows at her: " WHAT?"
Arthi : "where, were you last night ?"
"I was at my office" he lied bluntly
Arthi : "No you weren't. You had left office at 2 30 in the afternoon"
Uday: "Ehh ; I .. I had gone for a meeting"
Arthi : "why did you not answer your phone, then??"
Flashback ...
Uday was holding Maya close to him, he then started to unbutton her shirt . .. taking his time, the shirt fell on the ground and he began kissing her lips when his phone rung , without checking who it was , Uday switched off his phone, and flung it on the table. He then pulled Maya close to him to kiss her ... "No more interruptions Baby!"
... Flashback ends
Uday : I told you , I was at a meeting.
Arthi: and your PA didn't know anything about it?
Uday: it was a private meeting - my PA is NOT told EVERYTHING!
Arthi : ... and you couldn't even call in the night, were you even busy then?
Uday : ENOUGH ARTHI, What is this - THE SPANISH INQUISITION!
Arthi : There is no use of shouting at me Uday, I am your wife and I need to know, you just answer ..
Uday cut in and shouted : "Arthi JUST SHUT THAT MOUTH OF YOURS BEFORE I SLAP YOU, CAN'T I EVEN GET A LITTLE PEACE IN MY OWN F**KING HOUSE!!"
Saying this the went to their bedroom slamming the door behind him.

Jai was too busy admiring her face in the tiny, compact mirror , she carries in her hand-bag ... that she didn't even see the guy she was walking straight into. He also , was as absent-minded as she was , as he was listening to music on his I-pod. BOOM , the clash happened!
"I'm very sorry Aunty , I'm extremely sorry! Can I help u up Aunty?" , Veer held out his hand for Jai.
Her rage had by now , hit the roof ... what with him daring to call her "AUNTY" ... and that too , in public. She ignored his outstretched hand and got up by herself.
"Are u okay, Aunty?" , a concerned Veer enquired.
"Shut-up , shut the hell up. Do I look like your AUNTY?". I'm almost as young as you ... how dare u call me THAT WORD?!" , she grimaced .
"Sorry Ma'm , I didn't mean to offend you!", he apologised.
"JAI ... my name is Jai ... call me Jai!".
Veer nodded with a smile and Jai turned to walk away , strutting her behind as if she was modelling on a ramp. Veer poked the ear-phones back into his ears : "Nice to meet you AUNTY!" , he laughed to himself.

"Mom was right ... I shouldn't let petty things worry me! I just need a couple days to get back into my groove , then things will be again , back to NORMAL!
So what if my order went wrong ... So what if Akash died before Tanisha? They're ALL gonna die anyway!" , he smirked to himself. He took out the red-marker from his drawer and crossed off Akash's photo.
"Veer ... supper!" , a lady called out from downstairs.
"Coming Mom!" , he popped the marker into his pocket and ran downstairs.
