Assistant Lecturer Puneet (to the class): Hey guys. U were told to confirm ur companies where u all will b doing ur summer training. Submit photocopies of ur confirmation letter to me now. N also ur topic for training.
All the students moved towards the Professor to hand over their letters. Puneet Sir told them all that the final list will b displayed on notice board within two hours n the students should check whether the database is entered correctly.
After two hours
All the students checked their names, training company & topics of the training on the list. Khushi Sharma was not happy as her entry was skipped. So she decided to talk to Puneet Sir.
Staff Room
Khushi entered the staff room to find Puneet Sir sitting alone there. As it was the last day before the vacations n the exams of all other courses had been over two days ago, there were neither many teachers nor students of any other course in the college except MBA Semester-II.
Khushi: Excuse me sir.
Puneet: Yes Khushi?? Any problem??
Khushi: Sir my entry was not there on the list. There is some error.
Puneet: Actually I was confused. That is why I skipped ur entry.
Khushi (confused): What's the problem sir??
Puneet: U submitted a letter from AR Fashions, Delhi. It's a Fashion based firm. N u r pursuing MBA in Finance. N moreover, they don't impart any management training. So what will u do over there??
Khushi: But they have a Finance Department too. N I'll b working there only. So what's the issue??
Puneet: Ur topic is fine but the firm u chose is not a place which can give a boost to ur career in Finance. Had u been a designing student, things would have been different.
Khushi: Sir I think that's not something about which u or college should b bothered. I have decided on AR Fashions & I know what m looking for. U approve of my topic n I'll b doing my research work taking AR as the base.
Puneet: Well, if u r so sure about it, then good luck. Moreover, I'll b gone by the time u will b giving ur presentations on ur projects. So u'll b dealing with a new teacher for ur projects.
Khushi: Leaving?? U mean u r resigning??
Puneet: Yeah. I came into teaching just to explore a bit of this line as my mom is into teaching. Else, m having a successful family business. Why should I bother about a job then??
Khushi: But u r a great teacher. Students enjoy ur classes. U know that out of all the classes, ur class has the highest attendance.
Puneet (laughing): I know. But I want to do something else now. I have not thought about it much but I'll do something new. For now, I'll relax n handle my business for some time. Then we'll see what I want to do next.
Khushi: Well, if u have decided already, then I can't really say anything but we all will miss u.
Puneet: U guys r my first batch when I entered into teaching. This one year has given me a lot. I'll miss u guys too. U all r more of friends to me. U know I've never really treated u guys as my students.
Khushi: Of course sir. Anyways, I gotta go now. But please keep in touch, even after leaving.
Puneet (smiling): Definitely. N good luck to u too. AR Fashions is a huge step in ur life. I wish u'll do as well there as u have been doing till now. U have been a topper till date n I hope u will continue to b a topper in future too.
Khushi (smiling): Thank u so much sir.
Finally Khushi left for home. She was very excited. After all she was leaving for Delhi the next day to start her summer training with AR Fashions. She reached home n after freshening up, rechecked her packing to ensure that she's not forgetting anything. After having dinner n spending some time with her loving family, she retired for the day. It was going to b a very significant beginning for her career. N may b, for her personal life too.
