Scene 1 ' A House
We see a couple asleep in their bedroom. The alarm rings 
and the lady wakes up, inexplicably feeling uneasy and having a headache. She tells the servant Ramu to prepare tea for her. He does so and asks if she'd like to take medicine, but she refuses and goes back to give tea to her husband Pramod. When he doesn't respond, she pushes him over and is shocked to see that his chest is covered in blood. 😲
Scene 2 ' The Crime Scene
Daya sir, Rajat and Freddy are seen examining the crime scene. 
Daya sir notes that the man seems to have been shot up close. The lack of any signs of struggle indicates that he must've been asleep when fatally attacked. He questions Ramu, who explains his daily schedule and says that he uses a duplicate key to enter the house every morning. He adds that he had left the house at 7:30 PM the previous day and the couple was fine then. The cops search the entire house, and Freddy finds a gun in the trash bin of the study room. Daya sir checks its magazine and notices that a shot has been fired.
Ramu starts crying and protesting that he knows nothing about it. 
Surekha (the lady) says that she didn't hear the gunshot and knows nothing about the gun either. Rajat finds Surekha's bloodstained nightdress in the washing machine. Daya sir says that this, coupled with her claims that she didn't hear the gunshot being fired when Pramod was killed right next to her, prove that she murdered him. Surekha repeatedly protests that she's innocent, and is supported by Ramu. Suddenly, she faints. Daya sir instructs the others to take her to the hospital, and to move Pramod's corpse and all evidence material to the forensic lab.
Scene 3 ' The Forensic Lab
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe informs the team that Pramod was indeed shot with the same gun found in the trash bin, and it bears Surekha's fingerprints. Dr. Tarika adds that the blood upon her nightdress is Pramod's as well, and the murder took place at around 1:00-1:30 AM. Daya sir says that all this clearly seems to point against Surekha, and decides to visit her at the hospital.
Scene 4 ' The Hospital
Freddy, Rajat and Nikhil arrive at the hospital and find the ward boy sleeping outside Surekha's room. 
They give him a sharp wake-up call and enter the room, only to find Surekha gone. The ward boy claims that she was there when he'd last checked at 11:00 PM last night. The cops admonish him for his carelessness and search the entire hospital for Surekha, but fail to find her. Rajat finds Surekha's hospital gown on her bed; the ward boy says that her own clothing seems to be missing. From this, Rajat construes that she had pretended to faint and then fled from the hospital at the first chance. Nikhil says that she could've had an accomplice as well. Rajat decides to check the hospital's CCTV footage for more clues.
Scene 5 ' Control Roon
The cops check the CCTV footage and Freddy spots Surekha emerge from her room, walking slowly and holding her personal clothing, and enters another room nearby. He remarks that she could've changed clothes in her own room if that's what she wanted to do. After a while, she moves out of the room and exits the hospital via the gate. Rajat wonders what was wrong with her, and where she went.
Scene 6 ' A House
Surekha's mother and another lady are seen lamenting the unfortunate events when Rajat, Freddy and Nikhil turn up and proceed to search the house. Rajat informs them that Surekha's fainting was her ploy to escape after murdering Pramod. The other lady supports Surekha and is introduced as Surekha's sister-in-law, who's come from America. She says that Surekha's brother will be arriving the next day as well. Freddy and Nikhil fail to find Surekha anywhere in the house. The mother says that Surekha had no reason to kill Pramod. Nikhil points out that she could've done it for money, but her mother reveals that Surekha's father had bequeathed everything to her in his will, which was even larger than Pramod's property. The cops depart, wondering how to find Surekha. 
Scene 7 ' The CID Bureau
A man enters the bureau and introduces himself as Gaurav, a shopkeeper near Surekha's house who was his customer. He reveals that when he was leaving for the railway station two nights ago, at 1:00 AM, he saw Surekha dancing barefooted in the public park. ACP sir is surprised and notes that this was around the same time that Pramod was murdered. He sharply asks Gaurav if he was sober when he allegedly saw this scene; Gaurav insists that he was. Sachin wonders how Surekha could be in two places at the same time. ACP sir asks Pankaj to take down Gaurav's phone number and address, and dismisses him. He instructs Sachin to search Surekha's house once again and see if they missed anything.
Scene 8 ' Surekha's House
Daya sir, Freddy and Sachin enter Surekha's house. Daya sir reveals that Surekha was fond of dancing since her college days and was not able to do it after marriage, which could possibly explain what the shopkeeper saw. Freddy sees dirt upon the doormat. They thoroughly search the house, and Daya sir finds a black salwaar with streaks of dirt on it, which indicates that Surekha was indeed in the park when Pramod was murdered. Rajat finds a medical file which shows that Surekha used to take Sestafam tablet before sleeping. Daya sir calls Dr. Salunkhe and finds out that this tablet is an antidepressant. He wonders why her mother didn't tell this to them. He decides to visit Dr. Jiten, who had prescribed the tablet to Surekha.
Scene 9 ' Dr. Jiten's Clinic
Dr. Jiten is seen with a patient and his assistant when Rajat and Freddy visit and enquire about Surekha. He confirms that he had prescribed Sestafam to her, but says that disclosing details about his patients' psychiatric disorders is inappropriate. Rajat and Freddy explain about Pramod's murder and Surekha's disappearance, and request him to co-operate. Dr. Jiten reveals that Surekha had been suffering from somnambulism (sleepwalking). 
He mentions that Pramod had once woken up to find Surekha missing, and went outside to find her dancing barefoot in the public park.
He explains that such instances are often the result of a person's suppressed desires manifesting in a subconscious state. He adds that there's a possibility of her having murdered Pramod in the same state, as evidenced by a recently proven case in America. Freddy points out, however, that Surekha seemed to genuinely love Pramod. Rajat adds that a person operating in a subconscious state cannot hide things, which the doctor confirms. He remembers that they had found the gun and bloodstained clothing in a hidden condition, and also that Surekha was in the park when the murder took place. Freddy says that somebody must be taking advantage of Surekha's illness. Rajat says that Surekha could be in danger, and they need to find her at once.
Scene 10 ' The CID Bureau
Pankaj enters with a rickshaw guy, who says that he had seen Surekha when she left the hospital. He says that she was walking as though in a trance, and some other man was following her. He helps them sketch this man. Freddy sees the sketch and remembers having seen the man at Dr. Jiten's clinic when they visited it. ACP sir instructs him to visit the doctor again and find out about this man.
Scene 11 ' Dr. Jiten's Clinic
Rajat and Freddy visit Dr. Jiten and show him the man's sketch. The doctor recognizes him as his assistant Mansukh and informs them that he'd called that morning saying that he'll be on a leave for 3-4 days due to his mother's illness. Suspicions confirmed, Rajat asks for Mansukh's residential address.
Scene 12 ' Mansukh's House
Abhijeet sir, Freddy and Nikhil visit Mansukh's house. His wife meets them and initially thinks that they've come for money. She tells them that Mansukh had been borrowing cash from many people. When Abhijeet sir enquires about his mother, she's surprised and reveals that the mother had passed away two years ago. We're shown a brief flashback of a drunken Mansukh entering the house with an envelope of cash; he tells his wife that the doctor gave him that money to purchase some material in Delhi, and tells her to pack his bags as he needs to leave. Abhijeet recounts Mansukh's numerous lies and says that he certainly seems to be connected to Pramod's murder case. He notices bottles of cheap liquor in the room; the wife confirms that Mansukh was seriously and compulsively addicted to it. Nikhil construes that he must've spent the money he got for abducting Surekha on the liquor as well. Abhijeet sir and Freddy decide to visit all places in Mumbai where such liquor is sold.
Scene 13 - Various
The three cops are seen in a bar. Freddy and Nikhil are disguised as taporis; 
Abhijeet sir instructs them to enquire about Mansukh under the pretext that they are Munna Bhai's men, 🤣 to whom Mansukh owes a long overdue debt. The two of them carry out their covert mission at several bars and pubs, but fail to find out anything. Finally, they visit one Roshini bar and after some rowdy questioning 
and bribing, 
the bar guy tells them that Mansukh had visited the previous night and asked for a room to stay, which he was given. After a little more wallet-fattening, they are led to the room. We see a drunken Mansukh raving inside when the cops turn up. Abhijeet sir enters as well and nabs the bartender for his illegal activities. 
Mansukh starts protesting, and Abhijeet sir hands him a tight SLAP! 
Scene 14 ' The Bar
Mansukh sobs and insists that he had nothing to do with Pramod's murder. He reveals that some short dude aged around 25-27 years had paid him to follow Surekha as she would certainly sleepwalk out of the hospital, claiming that he was a friend of hers and was concerned about her safety due to the illness, and asked him to console and drop her at some bungalow after she woke up. After doing this, Mansukh learned that the police was after her regarding Pramod's murder, and was scared into hiding until the case was forgotten. He adds that the dude had allegedly chosen him because he had been working with Dr. Jiten for many years and knew details about Surekha's illness. Also, patients of somnambulism tend to freak out if they find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings after waking up, but since Surekha knew him, this problem wouldn't arise. He insists that he doesn't know what happened to Surekha after he left her at the bungalow. Abhijeet sir demands for the location of this bungalow.
Scene 15 ' Bungalow
Rajat, Freddy and Nikhil arrive at the bungalow in question and ring the doorbell, which is unanswered. Trying to look for a way inside, they stop by a window and are surprised to see Surekha inside, wearing a large set of headphones and expressionless. As they watch, she fetches ropes and throws them over the ceiling fan, preparing to hang herself to death. The cops rush into the bungalow and stop her just in time. Rajat removes the headset and puts it to his own ear, and hears a female voice say that she is Surekha and wishes to commit suicide. Nikhil splashes water over Surekha and brings her back to her senses. She's shocked when Rajat tells her that she had been hypnotized via the recorded message 
and had nearly killed herself. Freddy notices that the voice isn't Surekha's; Nikhil says that this other lady must've been Pramod's killer as well. Rajat instructs them to lie in wait at the bungalow since she will certainly drop in to check if the job is done or not.
Scene 16 ' The Bungalow
The three cops and Surekha wait in the bungalow for over two hours. Eventually, a girl and guy enter and are disheartened to see the ropes lying loose, and wonder where Surekha is. The cops turn up and capture them; Surekha reveals that she has no idea who they are. The guy reveals that the mastermind behind it all had asked them to do it. Rajat sharply demands for his/her identity.
Scene 17 ' Surekha's Mother's House
The scene switches back to Surekha's mother's house. Her brother Roshan asks his mother if Surekha used to fight with Pramod or killed him in revenge for some affair of his, and is reprimanded. At this point, Rajat enters and hesitantly informs them that Surekha has committed suicide. Her family is devastated, but Freddy soon enters with Surekha who has a tearful reunion with them. Nikhil enters and explains that they were forced to lie in order to expose the culprit ' Surekha's sister-in-law Swati, who is singled out by the guy from the previous scene who's her brother Rajendra. Swati fails to escape, and Rajat says that she has no choice but to confess.
Scene 18 ' The CID Bureau
Swati confesses that her target was Surekha because the latter's father had bequeathed his entire property to her and left nothing for Roshan. Therefore, she decided to murder Pramod and frame Surekha for it, so that her husband obtained all the property instead. Her other sister-in-law Priya (the girl from Scene 16) used to work at the hospital where Surekha was being treated, and managed to find out about her somnambulism, which they used to their advantage. When Surekha sleepwalked into the park, Rajendra and Priya snuck into the house and shot Pramod dead. They knew that Surekha would change clothes before leaving the house (really?), and therefore placed the pistol upon the clothing. When Surekha picked it up in her subconscious state, her fingerprints ended up upon it. ACP sir says that the three of them shall now rot in prison until their execution.
