He just held her tight in his arms until she calmed down. She slowly slipped out
mujhe daadi se baat karni hain
she said bit anxiously. Maan smiled warmly handing her the phone. He turned to leave
Geet ' Maan
he turned in concern.

thank you Maan she spoke placing a soft peck on his cheek taking his breath away.
He could given anything to see that happiness on her face.
It was much required for geet. Though it changed the whole chemistry between them. She looked up to him as her babies father. Her expectation to him was totally for baby. All they spoke was about baby.
Daadi wanted Geet to be with them. But Maan was very concerned with her traveling. Maan had double the work now. Since he had to take care of her special needs & mood swings. He read a lot to understand her needs, the symptoms. Even when she was scared he kept himself cool & calm. He made her understand it was normal to get swelling on her feet.. he helped her keep up the feet & massaged her every day.
Geet cutely looked at herself every day to see how much she gained. she even made a record. Maan only stood by her.
His love only increased with that grew his craving to be loved.
Geet was too lost in her new happiness she overlooked the sadness that lingered beneath those ever happy eyes.
Yes he was happy. He was happy having her beside her. He was happy because she was happy. Family meant everything to him. He could do anything to keep them close, safe & loved expecting nothing in return. Something he learned first from Dev & now from Geet.
Through out the pregnancy Maan had to put up with her mood swings.
Then her questions ' Maan wo mujhe mama kahen ga na
he would tease her ' nahi
she would look at him painfully
he would laugh ' nahi mama boligi
she would stamp her foot & turn her face ' beta hi hoga
She was on cloud nine when the dr confirmed it was a baby boy.
It was around end of 8 months when Daadi, Dev, Meera & Maanav planned to visit Geet. Maan had become little close to daadi over the past few months. he had been speaking to her regularly about the baby & geet max daadi's health. He never spoke about anything else. Even if daadi asked him about himself he had his ways to avoid the topic.
Maan came back from office & drove her to new house

Maan ' I selected few houses tum decide karlo
geet ' aapka ghar
his heart ached. She could have said humara
he looked away hiding that pain
Maan ' I was planning to give that house to Dev
Geet ' aap galat samaj rahen hain. Dev never wanted
Maan cut her not wanting to talk about Devs deeds.
Maan ' I am not giving to Dev. It will be for Maanav
Geet wanted to so ease his pain but he never let her.
He let her chose the house, let her decide the wall color, interior. Her focus was on wat baby would like. How far would be baby's school. Where would the baby play. Baby's room, baby's play area. Maan was so happy seeing her so involved & happy. moreover finally she was willing to call it her home if not ours.
Still there were times at night she would wake up & start crying holding him tight. It would have been same dam dream of some one not letting her hold the baby. He would console her.. & get her to sleep. But his sleep would be far from his eyes. He knew his mistakes had no forgiveness.
But God made women with so much endurance. Like she forgot everything when she took the little bundle of joy in her hand.
Maan sat close caressing his feet softly. Daadi stood near geet adoring her little great gandson. Dev & Meera stood outside & watched them.
Maan - Dev aisen hi dihktha tha when he was born
could we name him Devansh.. Maan spoke lost in the happiness.
Geet ' Maanav ko dehkin Dev ne yahi kaha tha.. he looks like Maan bhaiya, could we name him Maanav.
Geet agreed instantly, only thing Maan had a say when it came to Devansh. Rest Devansh was mamas boy.
Dev closed his eyes as tears rolled down watching his brother still holding so much of love in his heart. He had lost all hope when Maan refused to speak to him or even meet him when they came to USA with daadi. Maan had made all arrangements for their stay in the house where they were brought up.
After nurse took the baby for routine check up.
Geet ' itna pyar karten hain Dev se tho ussen bhaat kyun nahi karthen
Maan didn't want to ruin his mood.
But Geet didn't seem to give up this time.
Maan got really annoyed ' tum jaanthi bhi ho usne aur Meera ne milke
geet was bit lost
Maan gritted his teeth ' mujhe kahti huin bhi sharam aa rahi hain
geet cut in ' tho Dev kaisen kar pata
Maan looked at her puzzled
geet ' he couldn't do anything wrong, he backed out at the last moment & he spent a year in jail & that was not Meera. That was Nt who plotted all that.
Maan was confused at first & then understood as Geet explained the whole past.
That cleared the bitter part between the brothers. Maan still was annoyed that Dev never tried to clear the bitterness.
Dev came in & hugged Maan ' I am sorry bhiaya
Maan gave a warm smile to Meera ' I am sorry
meera immediately hugged him ' nahi veerji.
Devansh indeed filled their life with happiness.
