good candidate and good party - decision is clear. Now suppose Mr.X from BJP happens to be a shady character and Mr Y from Congress is a known gentleman. You like the BJP party but not Mr X -candidate standing from your particular constituency on BJP's ticket . You do not like the Congress but you know Mr Y their candidate standing for election in your constituency to be a good and able person.
