He sang that song during the competition, so it is not the first time he is singinging, in fact all 3 sang their songs before.

I think that song is from gangster,sung by Emraan, I may be wrong, but Diwakar sang it very nicely, he already sang that in the LC competition

I thought Phirta rahoon was from Killer, remake of Collateral, but u r right in that it was picturized on Emraan. Diwakar sang it in his comeback round...when public voting was first instituted to bring back 1 eliminated contestant, so far he is the only one in reality shows to have attempted it.

Ya ali is from Gangster, attempted by both Armaan and Sameer in LC, Sharib in EMET final, and also by Amey Date in some Diwali special (shows up on utube when u do a search for Amey). Shows u how difficult, challenging and popular the number is
