I don't get it

Seriously i don't get it. R they showin wht happend be4 Shiv was kidnapped??? 'coz remember Ipshitha told Shiv tht her birthday is day after tomorrow and then the next day Shiv left for kolkatta, and was kidnapped tht night, so in tht case 12 o'clock wishin shud have been done tht day, since her birthday is the next day, and Shiv was with the kidnapper on Ipshitha's birthday. and y wud Shiv write down the address of the same hotel twice???so r they showin wht happend before Shiv was kidnapped??? if tht is the case then i think Shiv was the one who was watchin Gauri when she came to the hotel reception.

but if they r showin wht happend be4 Shiv was kidnapped then the day he was kidnapped he send Gauri a message at 8.30, but it looked like he had left her house sometime before 12, i am so confused. so can some1 pls tell me. whether this is the flashback or this is wht is happenin now??
