i think that kaira killed her grandma because at that time she had a ball wth her and probaly when she was playing with it it went into the room under the bed and when she went to get it she accidently messed with the wire without knowing which made her condition even worser and her grandfather had no choice but to take the mask off...

what do you think

Makes sense over Adi being the culprit. As this is related to Kaira, it is most likely her.
