Last Year on KGGK
The age old battles of the home brewed as always. Pallavi kept on waging her war while Parvati and her family had to face many unexpected encounters. Om's death brought about a series of unfortunate events that ultimately killed Parvati. Soon after Om had died Parvati met Suyash Mehra and his three sons – Shikhar, Nikhil and Ashutosh. Parvati then befriended a young woman by the name of Mayuri who stood by her in her battles against her own family.
Mayuri and Shikhar were involved for a short while before it was revealed that Shikhar tried to destroy Mayuri through an MMS scandal for which he was sent to jail after he shot Parvati. Soon after Kamal and Trishna are married and then Parvati starts running insane. It is revealed that Kamal and Trishna have been making her run insane because someone has kidnapped Shruti. The someone turns out to be Pallavi and Sasha at first but later Gayatri kidnaps Shruti because she is jealous of the attention Shruti gets from the family and Sameer.
When the truth is revealed the family goes berserk and later Gayatri has a son whom she gives to Shruti. Soon after Parvati receives a CD from Anjali sent to her by Kkavya as a message from Om. Parvati learns through the CD that Suyash Mehra killed Om and plots her revenge by marrying him. She traps him with proof and has him arrested. Gayatri returns for her son and leaves like a thief in the night while an unknown woman attempts to get Suyash out of jail.
A strong bond forms between Parvati and Ashutosh and later Nikhil. Rajeshwari Mehra returns with a vengeance and gets Suyash out of jail. Soon after, Parvati learns that Om's killer is a member of her family. Krishna is shot and presumed dead and we soon learn that Trishna and Rajeshwari killed Om together. Thereafter begins a new game in which Trishna and Rano frame Parvati for the murders of Om and Krishna. Shruti, Sameer and Chaaya also give evidence against Parvati in court and she is sentenced to life in prison.
In prison Parvati is tortured and she meets Maasi who takes her under her wing and tells her of her own past. She then tells Paro that she can do one of two things, start a new life or kill herself. Kamal returns to Mumbai to find that Parvati is dead and the family is present at her funeral where she is cremated. 18 years go by and two women arrive in Mumbai carrying with them a dynasty of fortune. Narayani Devi and Janki Devi make themselves known to everyone and Trishna who now rules the Agarwal Empire is shocked, as is the rest of the family, to know that Janki Devi is a mirror image of Parvati Agarwal.
We get to meet the new generation inclusive of Metilli, Pragati, Aditya, Praney, Bharath, Ronit, Tannu, Neha, Tiny and Bheem. The oldies of the family are treated like dirt and tension is brewing between Shruti and Sunaina over their position in the household. Janki Devi buys the Agarwal Mansion and sends orders to throw the Agarwals out. Pragati goes to the College where Janki is a trustee and uses a different name so Janki won't find out she's an Agarwal.
Metilli believes she has feelings for Praney and gets no response from him. However, when she and Praney beat Adi in a bike race, he feigns a relationship between the two of them through scanned photographs. Janki confronts Suyash about this incident and learns that Ashutosh is missing. Adi then sends the same photographs to the Agarwal Mansion where Metilli is confronted by the family.
And now Kahaani as of 1st January 2007
Pragati calls Praney and asks him to come home ASAP because of what has happened to Metilli. Praney says that he is on his way but while he makes his way to the mansion, Shruti throws Metilli out and tells her to never show her face in the mansion again. Shruti then slams the door in Metilli's face and the girl heads off to work at the College where the kids make fun of her and talk about the photographs.
Metilli cries like there's no tomorrow when Janki walks in and advices her on what should be done. She tells Metilli that she should either accept things the way they are or do something to change the way things are. Metilli then tells her about everything Shruti told her at the mansion and Janki remembers a scene from the past where Shruti confronts Om about her love for Aryan and says that there is nothing that anyone can do to change her feelings. Janki then tells herself that everyone makes mistakes but when they see the same mistake in someone else then they have a huge problem with it. She tells Metilli to confront the world with the truth and no matter what the end result is at least she will not fail herself.
Metilli wonders what she should do because she can very well claim that the photographs are fake but her feelings for Praney are not. She tells herself that she will tell Praney exactly how she feels about him and solve the problem in her mind and soul once and for all. Meanwhile at the mansion, Metilli's grandfather walks in to clear some accounts and Sameer yells at him about what has been going on. Praney hears this and walks out. He looks at the photographs and tells the family to look at them closely and see that they are two separate photographs merged together. Sameer and Shruti together with the rest of the family are really shocked. Praney goes on to say that he and Metilli are just friends and nothing more than that. Metilli walks in to hear this and is shattered. She runs off and Praney goes on to say that he will find out who did this and get even, he then apologizes to Metilli's granddad about what happened on behalf of the family.
Later at Metilli's house her disabled brother asks her why she's crying and Metilli has no reply. Her grandfather returns and tells Metilli that he doesn't know if she and Praney are just friends or something more but he warns Metilli not to pursue anything with Praney because they are worlds apart and the reputation of middle-class people like them is very important. Metilli cries and secretly tells herself that she can't disregard the way she feels inside.
That night at the park, Bheem and Tiny tell Praney to talk to Metilli because she is really upset and only he can make her feel better. Praney tells them that he will talk to her but he is not in love with her like they think. He then talks to Metilli and tells her the importance of their friendship and tells her that he doesn't want to loose a friend like her because of something like this and she just goes on crying. Praney then says that all he needs to know now is who is behind all of this and then he will make them cry like Metillu is crying right now. Metilli finally tells him that Adi was behind it all and Praney is enraged by this. He takes off to even the score and Metilli is left at a crossroad.
Praney tells Tiny and Bheem that Metilli is fine now and they want to know if she will start crying again to which he says that she won't cry again because he's going to fix whoever did this.
The next day outside the College, Adi tells an audience about what he did to Metilli. The others ask him what he's doing here since he was thrown out but he says that he doesn't care about that because his grandfather will take care of everything. He is about to light a cigarette when Janki Devi arrives and pulls him off the top of his car by his collar. She brings him down and then slaps him real hard. She asks how he could be so light about life after destroying someone else's. He looks back at her and tells her that no one has raised their hand to him up to date. Janki slaps him again and tells him that there's always a first time for everything. She slaps him a third time and drags him by his collars through the halls of the College. He tells her that he will call his grandfather is she doesn't stop and she tells him that she will call his grandfather herself so that he can see what his grandson gets up to on the safe basis of all their money. She drags him into the cafeteria where Praney and Metilli are and she throws him at Metilli's feet. Everyone gathers round to watch what will happen next.

Adi has no choice but to apologize to Metilli in front of the entire College and when he turns to his granddad for help, he's about to find out that he will get none. What will this motivate him to do next? Find out on Tuesday night at 10 pm on KGGK starring Saakshi Tanwar as Janki Devi.
