Even though I disagree with the most part, I will respect everything as ur opinion.. As we all are entitled to one.. Except for one point..
Sultan fell in love with a beautiful girl, good at heart, who was a mommy material for his son.. In gangster business he might have come across many women who are involved in trafficking and who actually need rehabilitation. But he didnt fall for them. So he was not doing any social service by falling for Madhu. It was totally his attraction for her external n internal beauty.
And RK did demean her a lot in chawl. And we were equally upset about it.. Didnt go endorsing his behavior at that point. For all that humiliation, he publicly apologized at a even bigger platform. But never used the word 'used tissue paper'. He called her returned goods, which is equally bad. But 'used tissue paper' is actually one of ur friend's terminology.
And u used the word discarded n ostracized woman for Madhu, I disagree! She was jilted n humiliated by RK. But that doesn't make her ostracized. And definitely doesn't take her on a ground where people should pity her. Loving her is not charity. If somebody is falling for her, he is not doing a favor on her. Falling for her is as reasonable as falling for u or me. somebody falling for us is not being big-hearted, it's just normal. And so is the case with Madhu.
The guy who jilted her is more pathetic and so RK was. That's why now he apologized to her and married her with full respect n gave her a rightful place in society. Not out of pity but out of love.
