Sanaya in quite a few interviews said that Farhan and her are not friends, in one said that she wants him replaced (wonder how she would have felt if one of her co-actors in her first show had said that about her publicly, because lets face it,she was no better in her first show - everyone deserves a chance) in another said that she knows that people are only watching the show for her and in one she even went ahead to say something like unfortunately it's the love story track with that boy(note: she didn't even take his name).
I sincerely do not remember one single interview of hers where she said it in so many words that she wants FK replaced. And trust me when I say that I have watched almost all of her interviews. And if I rewind back to the very first interview of CC, I remember Sanaya asking everybody to give FK a fair chance. The statement she made about people watching the show only for her was totally uncalled for though, I believe that too and she should not have said that. But apparently the interview was for SaRun fans, who were indeed watching the show only for her. Anyway, this I still agree with you that it was not right on her part to give herself the highest credit especially when she is normally known to tone down herself a bit, so this came as totally un-Sanaya.
How fans reacted to this: Oh she is so honest, we need more people like her on this earth, the queen of professionalism etc etc
Well, her professionalism has been spoken about by all of the people who have worked with her previously, including directors, actors and every other people she has come in contact with. When so many people unrelated to her can praise her professionalism in many different situations, I think we can consider it to be the truth. We definitely dont need more people like her ... 😆 ek hi kaafi hain! 😳
Now what Farhan said in this interview: That Sanaya and him are not friends, because she doesn't like him, which is true(and its ok not to be friends with every co-actor); that he was being blamed for the low trp's because of lack of chemistry with her, when he was just playing second fiddle which is true- I have read so many people saying that they were not watching because of him, but if you truly did want to watch for Sanaya I don't understand how just one actor, whose character was not even that important was putting off fans from watching. The truth is this show is no good, and the main reason for it being its poor storyline, followed by the poor direction, screenplay, background score etc. Lastly he said that people are not over sanaya and barun, which is another truth, Sanaya herself kept comparing her chemistry with Farhan with that of Barun in one of the interviews and said that the lack of friendship between her and Farhan was one of the reasons for the poor chemistry- but you are an actor at the end of the day- and not a very good one at it if one can clearly see how uncomfortable you are doing scenes with certain actors, she can not be friends with every actor she works with.
I agree with your last statement - when you are a good actor, your personal relationship with your co actor should not reflect on screen. And it didnt ... her expressions in all the scenes have been spot on. But is that enough? Your statement is irrelevant when it comes to romantic scenes and creating chemistry, because even when you put in your 100%, if the person in front of you does not react, what can you do. Chemistry cannot be created by just one person. And definitely not between two people who are so uncomfortable with each other. If not friendship, atleast a basic comfort level is a necessity for creating a watchable chemistry. Take any remotely good chemistry between two actors and you'll find what I say is true. As for her, her first big love story was with Mohit, where their offscreen romance bloomed alongwith the onscreen one, so there was not question of comfort zone here. Next came Barun, with whom she instantly clicked, and she did say in an interview that she will never share the same chemistry with Barun offscreen with anybody else. So we might as well hope for the longest of times that we will not be able to see her sizzle that much with anybody else (sigh..so much for my Viraf-Sanaya dream project ). Then came FK, with whom she failed to click (for various reasons) and the chemistry failed to click with the audience too. Now its anuj, with whom she seems to be very much attuned, and the chemistry is magically improving. So conclusion being, she needs to be comfy with a co-star to create a good chemistry, for a love story, a comfort zone she felt totally lacking with FK. But, it was not just her - others did not gel along well with him too. He was always aloof in every interviews, so one can imagine he would be that too on the sets. It was something about his nature that did not gel well with others. In these situations, I find it hard to believe his claims that she was the only one being cold towards him - maybe she was, but she wasnt the only one and that certainly should NOT be the reason for his "quitting" the show.
How fans react to his side of things: he is doing all this for publicity, he is so unprofessional, etc How different was what he said to what Sanaya had been saying all this time?
Again, read my first paragraph. The difference is this - while only FK has allegations of Sanaya being "rude" from the day he was chosen over Mohit (much in contrast to his first interview where he called her helpful and co-operative) and 100 other people claim her to be a very warm person (in her entire four yr career), three other people apart from Sanaya have shown their displeasure towards FK and/or his acting skills (in just two months), I think I will say that FK is wrong in this situation for two reasons - one, for being so unprofessional as to wash dirty linen in public (even though he was partially responsible for dirtying it) and second, for putting the entire blame of his exit on Sanaya, I mean, do not accept that the reason for your "qutting" the show is your abysmal acting skills - fine. But why blame someone else for your exit? As if producers are dancing around Sanaya's wishes - this is not just a blame on Sanaya, but on the entire Optimystix PH.
