Favorite Episode of Season 8?

Another season has ended and left us wanting more. We want Supernatural to return with Season 9 ASAP as there are so many potential turns it can take. Season 8 went out with a humongous cliffhanger and we can't wait to see where S9 goes from there. However, in the meantime, let's discuss our favorite episodes of Season 8.

Now if the season finale "Sacrifice" is not your favorite episode of the season then you probably need to get your brain checked... there's probably some malfunction of the neurons. Just kidding 😆 But I guess it is true that mostly everyone loved "Sacrifice." So I'm gonna go ahead and say that you can NOT pick that one because that would be letting you off the hook too easily 😛

So it's time to think of episodes, other than the finale, that you loved this season. Which one(s) is/are your favorite(s)? I believe it's also a general consensus that the second half of the S8 was rocking whereas the first half was a little bland so that makes it easier for you 😉

For me, besides "Sacrifice" of course, there are five episodes that specifically stand out.

8X08 - Hunteri Heroici - I loved this episode purely because of the light tone of it. There were some hilarious moments in this one which I loved including Cas's adorable innocence... "I am interrogating the cat!" 🤣

Cas: I was being bad cop.

Dean: You were being bad everything. 😆

8X11 LARP and the Real Girl and 8X20 Pac-Man Fever - The number one reason is obviously, Charlie! I love that girl. The whole screen lights up when she's on it. At the end of 8X11, Dean's epic speech was just awesome! Plus, I can't wait to see the Gag Reel, Jensen's epic fall during the filming of that scene is supposed to kick it off. 😆 And 8X20 just showed a different side of Charlie, how much the girl's been through and along with her, Dean learns a lesson too. The whole theme of when to let go and when not to was brilliantly explored.

8X12 - As Time Goes By - The main reason I loved this episode was Henry Winchester. I loved that we got to know more about Grandpa Winchester. I also loved the whole idea of the brains and the brawn. It clearly explained from where Dean gets his brawn and Sam his brains. Runs in the family, you know. Also loved what Henry said.. "You're Winchesters. As long as we're alive, there's always hope."

8X22 - Clip Show - This was just a heart breaking episode with the Winchesters trying to save Sarah and not being able to do so. It just made me feel for them... imagine giving up everything to save these people and someone just killing them off anyway. Plus, this was when I officially started hating Crowley so that's gotta be something worth remembering. In spite of every horrific thing he had done so far, I couldn't bring myself to hate him. And now after the whole 'purifying' thing in "Sacrifice" I'm not sure if I still hate him as passionately. Weird how hard it is to hate Crowley.

Hunteri Heroici : I love cartoons and Sam-Dean combined with Castiel are cartoons, so yeah. 🤣

LARP and the Real Girl : Charlieee! 😆

As Time Goes By : I loved all time travel based episodes, so no doubt I wouldn't like this one. Plus, Jody babysitting Sam was a bonus! 😳

Trial and Error : Trials kick started, ah! 🤓

Remember the Titans : The whole family feels it gave. :)

Goodbye Stranger : 'Save my unicorn'. //sigh.

Freaks and Geeks : Krissy and Dean. 😳

Taxi Driver : Bobbby! <3

Pac-Man Fever : Charlieee!

Clip Show : oh you know I felt about the episode. 😳

^^ For a change I wanted to see if I could restrain myself from saying too much. I actually did, YAAAY me! *proud grin*

P.S : That should pretty much show you guys that its no use asking me any 'what's your favourite...' questions. 😆

My favorite S8 episode has got to be 'Taxi Driver', closely followed by 'Pac-Man Fever'. I'm not fond of the first half of the season even in the least. The episodes were so disappointing I could decipher no sense, whatsoever outta them, be it Amelia or the plot or Benny. Nothing made any sense to me. Eventually they bucked up and produced some amazing episodes, though.

'Taxi Driver' is my most favorite because it's composed of Bobby-awesomeness and feels closer to my original description of the show - Dean fighting to protect his brother, Sam being the center of a problem only he can fix and so on. The episode had me completely invest emotions into the show again. I really liked it. So, the investment followed in 'Pac-Man Fever' too. Everybody is fond of Charlie, all right but it's such a treat to watch how fond she is of Dean and Sam, and especially Dean. Dean and Charlie's bond was rare and amazing. Sam's struggle in the episode spoke volumes and the understanding struck by the boys at the end of the episode was also well, all epic. And there's something about the way Pac-Man ends, man. The episode hits right in the feels, it so does.
