Wrong number: Amit Varma

A casual act of giving away his number on air proved to be a harrowing experience for assistant director Lalit Jha. After the telecast of Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai on Friday night, Lalit's phone rang non-stop with people calling him up and asking for the serial's protagonist Rohan Kapoor (played by Amit Varma). Lalit wondered how people had got his number, when it dawned upon him that his number was shown flashing on Kituu's mobile phone as Rohan Kapoor's number.

Amit who plays Rohan in the serial says, "Lalit's phone wouldn't stop ringing. People started calling him up from all over India and some even called from far away places like the Middle East and the United States. When his number had flashed in the serial that day, they must have thought this is Amit aka Rohan's number and hence started calling."

So what did the callers want? Lalit says, "They wanted to speak to Amit. Most of the callers were girls and young women. Sometimes, I would arrange for a telephonic conversation. But at other times, when Amit wouldn't be around I would tell them to call later. Some callers agreed but some were persistent. They wouldn't believe that I was the assistant director. They thought I was indeed Amit. So at times, I would speak to them as Amit! I may have received about 200 calls so far. I was so tired of it that I had to switch off my phone for a better part of the day."

"It is really nice and encouraging to interact with your fans but it gets irritating when they ask me too many personal questions; like asking what caste I belong to and what caste Amit belongs to. Some even hint that they are single, tall and fair!" laughs Amit

This prooves how popular my AV is. Hope the haters of Rohan will understand now that why Rohan is not phased out of the show.
Anyways have any one of us tried it? I was so sad about the break up that I havent noticed it, else I would also.............

U all know I got 17 calls after this article came in paper everyone is asking me if Icalled or no but I didnt n I donno y 😭 till now I have tried all the numbers which came in the show but none ever worked n this time I was soo upset with the breakup that I didnt notice the number n this time it was the correct number n I m soo upset I didnt even noted down
