A heartfelt petition to Ekta and her Destructives, who I am sure is not going to reconsider anything from the viewers point of view. But still as Robert Browning had wisely said – 'Try, try and try again'.
I agree, we, the viewers have been served pretty stale dishes as per our expectations. Maybe we are wrong in having a high level of expectation from you and your team, as far as KS is concerned, but kya karoon? Hum aadat se majboor hain. Kasamh Se started off as a fresh whiff of wind in the daily soap arena, with no inclinations towards the saas-bahu saga. It presented us television romance at its best – the journey of a mismatched couple to begin with, who at the end find their soul mates and life partners in each other. But what is KS now? A potboiler, a junkyard, a messed up serving, whatever? 😡
The serial had characters which will always be remembered as the finest of Balaji creations. Until disaster struck in the form of Park Road and the stupid raaz. And the weird explanations, serious and forced bloopers, and serious contamination of the once heartfelt characters, so much so that the bond that we had with each of them is on the wane ever since. So much so that we are failing to associate ourselves with our favourite characters anymore.
Its understandable that a daily soap will have various twists and turns, ups and downs and that's highly acceptable. But what is not acceptable is the same rehashed plot used again and again and served us with separate toppings only. What the hell! Even the songs used are sometimes same. That freaks me out big time. There's no more originality left. In fact, nothing's left. Its we who keep on hoping for miracles to happen and praying such miracles to fall like manna from heaven. 😭
If KS is being based on the original source, fair enough. Let it be based on that book. The extra twists and turns offer the chutzpah but what needs to be remembered is that there's only a limit upto which we can tolerate. Seriously. 😡😡
Family lives are not what is projected in the K-serials, there's another completely different side of family lives in society, but we hardly get to see those versions. And if anyone ventures to do anything different, they start of by creating a comic base first. We all expected Kasamh Se to be different as it promised us so, and now we are all falling like nine pins. Too much expectations I guess and the serial is caving in. 😕
Post ONS, the TRPs of KS are on a downward spiral and it reached a comemdable 5th position sometime in between when JnB were shown together. Yet, the K-party thinks the TRP improved due to the ONS fiasco. Now, how dumb can someone be? I am sorry for venting my anger but what is true is true. And these guys actually get paid for creating havoc and writing trash, may I say.
Whatever we have always feared collectively, irrespective of whom we have supported or not, has always come true. The PR saga, followed by the divorce-alimnoy issue had swayed our faith big time and then came the ONS and its ensuing saga as of date. The final blow is ready to be dealt with only. Since they have wonderfully managed to mutilate all our fave characters, I wont be at surprised to see Bani asking JW to marry Pia for the child's sake, if they happen to show that.
For the stupidity of some, the Jai Walia and the Bani Dixit whom we loved, cherished and adored have both taken a serious beating. What are left are the shadows of their former shelves and occasional glimmer of their old forms. But not enough to sustain the usually feeble concentration of the frivolous TV viewers, as far as newer programmes are concerned. When will Ekta and her Destructives finally realize that KS is JnB? Its them who holds the key, not some stupid unending raazs (I am tired of them) to the survival of the serial, which I doubt once KBC starts airing. Why cant they try to show the development of various human relationships? 😕😕
Cant believe this is the same stable that gifted us the oh-so-delightful 'Chhoti Si Asha' a few years back. Good acting, excellent script, crisp editing and a run period of 1 year – that's what the serial was made of and it dealt so beautifully with human relationships, failed ones as well as successful ones. And it was a treat to watch it. Alas, if only they could hold onto the same principles for KS too. 😭😭😭
When will we be absolved of our mistakes of high expectations from a K-serial?
But then, who's listening.
Kasamh Se is dead, Long Live Kasamh Se!!!
