Is this the truth ??

I know Purana are written by some people in the past and it is stories of gods in human understating- where things can or can not be true. or may or may not be the same. Just to show soem light stuff they can alter things about their God !!! For example when Shiva cut the head off Ganesha parvati maa took her viraat roop and started destroying earth and its people. but why ?? did she actually did it ?? because i doubt it very much. she is THE MOTHER of all Human kind- why would she destroy her own mankind for the sake of her own son. arent we all her children ?? this is very conflicting. !! She is the Goddess and she doest have no control over her emotions ?? second for the sake of nahush parents she went against prakirti nyyam and turned him into adult just for the sake of her own family.!! is this the way Goddess parvati behave??? NOOO they are above these things-- they are enlighted people and not human like all of us !!! I am not arguing just questions arising in my mind. I myself a devotte of Shiva and Maa parvati with immense devotion. I am sorry if i have hurt any one's religious sentiments !!
