I have planned to add some hindi dialogues to this FF, I hope everyone understands hindi. There won't be a lot of hindi, just a few dialogues.

I was inactive that's why there was some delay in the update. I wasn't even able to reply to your comments. But I read every comment. Thank you so much for all the encouraging comments. Since my other FF is so intense this one is a little lighter. I hope you are liking it 😃

Khushi tried coming as late as possible again the next day. This was getting really annoying. She would come so early and no one would ever be there.

She reached office at 9. She was improving. She entered her cabin and saw Aakash already waiting for her. "You are late!" he said. "You are early!" she replied. "Yes, I was trying to come according to your timings!" he said. "Oops!" Khushi grinned. 'Aakash is so sweet,' Khushi thought. "So did you have any work?" she asked.

"Yes, I came here to tell you that I've got a really important project for you and Arnav. We haven't worked with them ever so we didn't want to give this one to anyone else. You both need to go to Goa. This company is one of the best and their studios and photographers will be amazing for our Magazine shoots. So I want you and Arnav to handle this." Aakash explained to Khushi. "I have briefed Arnav on the case, he'll explain it to you!" "When he comes, if he comes!" Khushi said rolling her eyes. Aakash laughed.

"I heard that!" Arnav said entering her cabin. Khushi turned around and saw Arnav at the door. "What do you think of me? I may not do the stupid paper work but I am actually excited about this one!" he said. "Good, so sit and work for once. Khushi, a warning, he's going to make you do everything and just 'supervise'!" Aakash said grinning. Before Khushi could say anything Arnav said, "Bhai, don't you have work? Please let us do our work!" he said smiling. Aakash laughed and left the two alone.

Arnav yawned. "So how are you so early today?" Khushi asked. "Bhabhi woke me up for a jog. I tried sleeping after that but Bhai wouldn't let me. So…" he sighed. Khushi laughed. "So let's start." He said. "Clear up your table and I'll just get all the files, and yes, I wanted to ask Bhai something, I'll be back in a few minutes." He said leaving the room. Khushi was super excited about this.

She cleared up everything when she heard a phone ring. She picked up her phone but saw that it wasn't ringing. She looked around. Arnav had left his phone here. She went and saw who was calling; it read "Sexy". Khushi thought it must be his girlfriend, she picked up anyway, "Hi Sexy" a guy on the phone said. "How long do you take in picking up your phone dude?" he asked.

"Hello?" Khushi repeated. "Oh! Hi, you must be Arnav's newest 'friend'" he said emphasizing on friend. Khushi knew what that meant. "I am his oldest friend." She said grinning, "you mean age wise! No wonder your voice is so broken." he laughed. "Oh please! You must be old. By the way, who are you?" "I'm sure Arnav must have told you about me, I'm Armaan." He said. "I haven't heard about you!" "Nor have I." he said. "I am Khushi!" "Main kissi Khushi ko nahi jaanta!" "So what?" "So you are lying!"

"Why don't you just give Arnie the phone?" he said in a squeaky voice. "Arnie?" She laughed, "Woh yaha nahi hai!" she said. "Oye Hoye, Aisa kya kiya tune jo woh phone chhorkar bhaag gaya?" "Listen, shut up!" Just then Arnav entered the cabin. Khushi was still laughing, "Here, talk to Arnie!" she said laughing. Arnav's eyes grew wide and he snatched the phone. "What the…" he muttered. "Don't listen to anything he tells you," Arnav whispered to Khushi.

"Hello?" he said. "Arnie where were you?" he laughed. "I am not going to leave you! Since when do you call me Arnie? Yuck!" "You tell me dude, kaise paagalon ko date karta hai tu?" Armaan said. Arnav laughed, "No dude, I'm not dating her. Mere bachpan ki friend hai!" he said. "Oh, woh sab chhor jaan-e-man! I'm here!" he said. "What? You are here? In Mumbai?" Arnav shrieked. "Yep! Just landed." "Why didn't you tell me? I would have come to pick you up!" "Dude, have you heard of surprises?" Armaan said laughing. "You sure gave me a big one!" "Chal, now I'll go to my hotel and chill. I'll call you once I've unpacked!" "Hotel kyun? You are coming home!" Arnav said. "Right now I am going to get my luggage before someone runs away with mine. I will call you later!" he said. "Alright!" he said cutting the line.

"So Khushi, let's start?" he said sitting down and opening the files. "So Arnie, when were you going to tell me about being…" Khushi said. "What the… Khushi, don't think you're overthinking all of this? He is a friend, Armaan Malik. And I am straight." Arnav said settling in his chair. "So that's why you still have that wide smile on your face?" "That is because Armaan and I have been like brothers since college. We were roommates in US and then he moved back to Delhi and I came back here. I haven't met him for a year. He came for Bhai's wedding and then on my birthday. That's when I saw him last." Arnav said smiling. Khushi smiled too. She didn't have such great friends either. She realized how she spent most of her time studying and working. She did have her share of fun but that was always restricted.

Arnav and Khushi worked on the project for a bit but Arnav was very distracted. Khushi read the files but could see Arnav looking at his phone every now and then. She understood that he wanted to go meet Armaan so she finally said, "Go Arnie, why don't you meet Armaan?" "Khushi, I am not ARNIE." He said, "And cool, I'm leaving!" he said getting up. "We will continue tomorrow, I promise!" he said. "Yeah yeah, I'll just read the file once. Guess today we'll do no work at all!" "Do you want to come?" he asked Khushi. "No thanks, I don't want to come between the two of you! Enjoy." She said smiling. Arnav left immediately. Khushi looked at the clock. 9:35 am. She read the file and studied it. She had a few questions for Arnav but he wasn't there. She jot down some important points and looked at the clock again. 10:45am. She decided to leave early today and ask Payal for shopping. Maybe she could work more tomorrow. "Hi Khushi," Payal said on the phone. "Hi, listen, I was free so I was wondering if you wanted to go for shopping today?" she asked. "Yes sure, Waise bhi we have to do extra shopping now because of the party!" she said. "Party? What party?" "You don't know? Aakash's surprise birthday party?! I asked Arnav to tell you. God! He just doesn't remember anything…" Payal said. "Oh! When is his birthday?" "Tomorrow, our party is tonight! Can you come home for a bit? I just have some work and then we can leave, and I wanted to ask you some stuff also!" she said. Khushi agreed.

Meanwhile, Arnav and Armaan were catching up in Armaan's hotel room. "Oh!" Arnav said shocked with what Armaan had just told him, "So then what happened?" "Then what? She got married, to Sid!" he said sighing. Arnav started to laugh, "Sid is the one who—"Yep, sabko laga that we were-ermm-gay." Arnav laughed even louder. "So sad dude, Girlfriend aur boyfriend dono gaye!" Arnav said. "So funny Arnav!" Armaan rolled his eyes.

"It is! It was entirely your fault. She had come and told you that she was in love with you, and you, like an idiot, said that she was just your friend!" "But that was earlier, that time she was a great friend, I just wasn't serious about her and I knew she was the shaadi-types so I didn't want to mess with her!" he said. "And when she was getting married to Sid you told her that you love her! What an ass move Armaan!" Arnav said, "She must totally hate you now!"

"No yaar, she loves me, but Indian hai na. She says she can't break this marriage now." Armaan explained. "Oh, so that's why you came here." Arnav understood. "I am interviewing for some work here, let's see if I get a job as a Cardio Surgeon here then I may not leave…" Armaan said. "What? You really did love her didn't you?" Arnav realized. "Have you even been hearing what I was talking about?" "Yes, I have. I am just so used to you falling in love every week that I didn't realize how serious you were this time… Never mind dude, Main hoon na!" Arnav said grinning, "We'll find someone for you here!"

"Yeah sure!" Armaan smiled again, "By the way, tell me about you? How is it going with Khushi? Is she hot?" "Shut up dude, she is just a friend!"

"I was asking for myself!" Armaan said grinning. "She isn't your type. She comes to work at 8 in the morning and is very serious!" Arnav said. "Toh kya? I don't have a type." "Whatever, ab chal, come home, meet Bhabhi!" Arnav said getting up.

Khushi was in the kitchen. Payal just had a little work left so Khushi was watching her cook. Payal's work was done so she went to change, she asked Khushi to keep an eye on the gas and shut it in 5 minutes. Khushi stood in Payal's place and very carefully stirred the pan.

Armaan, who had reached home, tip-toed into the kitchen and covered Khushi's eyes from behind thinking it was Payal. "Hey Bhabs! Whatsup?" "What? Who?" Khushi said trying to remove his hands. "Bhabs, you've grown fatter!" Armaan said as a joke. "I recognize this voice!" she said remembering the phone call earlier. She turned. "Who are you?" Armaan said frowning. "Armaan Mallik!" Khushi said recalling the name Arnav told her. "That is my name! Who are you, I asked?" "That's Khushi!" Arnav said entering the kitchen. "She is Khushi?" Armaan said turning around to see Arnav. Armaan glared at Arnav and winked and then began to laugh. "Excuse me, Mr. Armaan Mallik!" Khushi said listening to Armaan laugh, "It's Dr. Armaan Mallik!" he corrected her.

"Oh! I'm sure you treat mental patients!" "I wish! I could have treated you, but sadly I'm a cardiologist!" he said. "Argh! I am not crazy, you must be!" "I will be, if you two don't stop!" Arnav said coming between them.

"What are you doing here?" he asked Khushi. Before she could say anything Armaan said, "Must be eating all the food, no wonder I thought Bhabhi looked fatter!" he said shaking his head. "Oh please! Shut up!" Khushi said. She hated people showing off. Armaan was just so pissing off. "Khushi!" Payal called out. Khushi's eyes widened. Shit! The food! She turned around and was behind the stove at once, "It's burnt!" she said sadly. Payal entered the kitchen and said, "something's burning!" Armaan said, "This Khushi burnt the food!"

"Oh please! It's all because of you!" Khushi said blaming Armaan. "Great!" Payal said taking the burnt sabzi out. "Bhabs!" Armaan said hugging Payal! "Armaan, hi! How are you?" "Superb! You look gorgeous." He said. "Payal, will you have to make this again?" she asked. "I will, papa wanted to eat gobi today." She said. "You'll were heading out?" Armaan asked, "Go, I'll make it." "What?" Payal asked. "Yes, I am a great cook!" he said, "And Arnav will help me, aise bhi kuchh kaam nahi karta!" he said. "Oye! I am not cooking!" he said. "Bhabs, you leave!" he said. "Are you sure?" Payal asked, very uncertain if she should leave. "Yes! Go!" Armaan said.
