This article really made feel bad and cry. Animal cruelty is a heinous crime. The least a civilized being can do is ensure that all living things are treated in a humane manner. I'm fine with euthanizing stray dogs in a humane manner. However, there are so many people who abuse stray animals, pelt stones, frighten them, tie cans and garbage to their tails etc. We need stricter laws and enforcement to ensure protection for animals as well.

But I guess in a society when humans themselves are brutalized, how can we expect better treatment for animals.
