Seeing the title song, I waited eagerly for Raavan, thinking that they would show why he was so great that Shri Maha Vishnu had to come to earth, how Ravan conquered all the navagraha's, akta dikpalakals etc and how he got so much strength and the good side of Ravan etc. I was totally disappointed to see that they straight away went to war, adding to that the ladies, ravan wife, she is so MODERN, lipstick, stylish UNBELIEVABLE. The selection of ladies and their dress up is VERY BAD and is more like current day serial ladies and not mythological. Very Poor start!!!!!!

hi,
They have tried to make it seem more realistic and not mythological, which is commendable, especially for a serial which is supposed to defy all norms/beliefs of this evil character. By reducing the mythological factor, they are trying to actually relate it to modern audiences. Mythology is biased to making raavan evil, and the show is trying to make us see the other side of the story and some of the reasons that have been clouded in order to glorify the winners of this war. I would suggest giving the show a little more time since I think it will be told in a series of flashback stories (about Raavan) which will help earning its credibility.

Its not at all a poor start dear! In fact i loved the way they are picturizing this serial...i feel its more powerful n realistic.

They started the serial with War, but now they have started the flash back of Ravan...It started from his grand father Sumali.

So, you will see everything about Ravan...

I am just loving Ravan!

Ravan's wife Mandodari is definitely against kidnapping Sita! true!

she definitely supports her husband n kids when it comes to War..Her son indrajit(Meghnath) was killed by Laxman...tats y she wants her Dautr-in-law to take revenge on him...Tats very natural.. n she is a raj patni n Raj mata 1st!

I love mythological shows. They teach generations like us the history of our religion and our origin.
I think shows like these are needed for everyone's well being. I also watched Krishna, which was also a very powerful show.

I cant wait to know more about Ravan..

Krishna is brilliant, and I love it, it's great because it sticks to facts.

Ravan may not be enitrely inaccurate, lets hope it's mostly true.
