now for some serious drooling
with BarunDiwani

"Arnav Singh Raizada ka nishana kabhi nahin chukta"
"Arnav Singh Raizada's aim never missed"

We had hardly recovered from fainting episodes as his long legs stepped down off the chopper to make his entrence...IN SHADES, when he spoke those words. deadle and dangerous that he ever knew.  He sure put an arrow  through the hearts of women everywhere...ok particularly "phangurls" everywhere with out missing the nishana (aim). He was ruthless, not only to his chachaji but to all of us...and our lives would never be the same again. The sound of helicopters sound much sexier now doesn't it?  Sadly this was just the beginning,  we died a thousand deaths, each worse than the last at the hands of this shaatir,  laad governor every episode. For some of us,  he became the epitome of a perfect man. Oh yes the hot looks were to die for alone, but it was the millions of expression to emote his true feelings to us (even before Khushi saw ) that we pulled us deeper and deeper into this talented man. Till the end i feel his nishana never chuked. Thank you Barun Sobti for giving us this ICONIC character that is as real as can be just because of you!!!

The Mehsoos...the pull

It was there always, since June 6th 2011,  the magnetic pull to each other, the mehsoos of each other. the attraction, the need to stay attached...yes the first collar grab happened on their first meeting, long before the guest house incident.

He had closed his eyes unable cope with  memories of his surroundings at Sheesh Mahel, and his painful past he refuses to move on from. She had been pushed on to  the stage by accident (or was it?). It was then that a strong unknown feeling prompted him to open his eyes, a feeling that causes him to pause and think for a moment, before his eyes went to her.  She had also closed her eyes after calling out of her beloved Devi Maiyaa but as she opened, the feeling may have reached her too...perhaps not as strongly as him. After all he would be the first to recognize this incredible feeling that would draw him to her.

 Devi Maiya had decided it was finally time  Khushi Kumaari Gupta met her destiny and Arnav Singh Raizada met the biggest deal of his life.  She had a beautiful fall and fell into the arms of her destiny and he caught the biggest deal of his life. They stared at each other, certainly not the "love at first sight" look but confused by this pull, but still got lost in each other, the attraction on fire... His eyes moved to her lips, while her hands  found his collar...then there were fireworks, nice touch CVs!!

"Phir aap ke rajkumaar kahaan hai?"(then where is your Prince?)

an inquizitive boy had asked Khushi earlier after she had showed herself a rajkumari(princess) for a school function. Right then she knew to look up at a chopper that made noise announcing his arrival. The rajkumar's.  but She was on a scooty grounded, he was flying in the sky. She believes and in usuls (value) while he thinks they are for fools. She is all about "zameer" (concious), while life has taught him from early on to kill it even if it's there.  Seemingly different as night and day, but it's this pull that  will always remain as their biggest  friend and enemy and take us on an unforgettable journey. There was another pull in this first episode that sucked all of us right in, and no sight of letting go anytime soon, or ever. The show truly deserves a grand celebration, for it has actually changed lives, bought people together and most of all continues to feed the soul even after its ending.

Happy 2nd Anniversary IPK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: We understand that translating the IPK title in various languages has been done earlier in the forum. We do not attempt to take away anything from that effort, which was quite an enduring one. This post is made to portray the extensive reach that the show has managed to garner, a feat which no other Indian show has achieved before.

😊

I can now sit back, as now I am relieved
Two stories & two poems finally revealed
None of my works,  that is now concealed
Writing for the anniversary, has me appealed

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
#2 is sexual tension, marriage proposals.
 Two urges us to decide, unite minds and souls, helps us in judgement and natural flow to become decisive what is best for our souls.Symbols of love and charity.
(Thanks for the #2 symbolism, ArshiHamesha)
It has really been amazing for the last few days, working, compiling, brainstorming and creating with the blasters for the 2nd IPK Anniversary. Just shows how crazy we've become towards this show and we are hardly bothered about it (the craziness) πŸ˜†.  Two years since IPK had started and look at the effect it has left all over the world. The number two seems to have been profoundly around in IPK for some time now.
* The number of special threads BFTP has created - Two (Hundredth Episode and 2nd Anniversary)
* The number of blasters taking part in Anniversary contests - Two (DurgaS and supriya.arshi)
* The number of contests the blasters took part in - Two (OS Contest and Signature contest)
* The number of entries each blaster sent for their contests - Two
* The number of poems I wrote for the anniversary - Two (English & Hindi)
* The number of posts the blasters worked together for the anniversary - Two (Engagement Discoveries & Language Post)
* The number of 2nd Anniversary Threads we've worked on - Two (Main forum's and BFTP's)
(will add more as I remember)
It is wonderful to realise the presence of the number two almost everywhere at a time when the show is completing two years. Let me analyse the number 2 symbolism.
Sexual tension, marriage proposals.
This was always there between Arnav and Khushi. The marriage signals had always been dilly-dallying between them, signifying that soon they would be husband and wife. πŸ˜‰
Two urges us to decide, unite minds and souls, helps us in judgement and natural flow to become decisive what is best for our souls.
Ah, the way we blasters have worked together towards those two posts proves the above. Information, suggestions, encouragement - all kept pouring in while the posts were being worked on. Doing this has given each one of us immense satisfaction and appeased us. πŸ˜³
Symbols of love and charity.
Love - the theme of the show.
Love - that was omnipresent in the show.
Love - all the viewers felt for the show.
Love - everyone had for the characters of the show.
Love - the actors and other technicians earned from the show.
Love - which the blasters feel for each other.
Charity: No dearth of charity in the show.
Charity: No dearth of charity by the blasters who shower their love on the show without seeking anything in return.
Wishing all once again a very Happy 2nd IPKKND Anniversary.  πŸ˜ƒ
@ First post: Four beautiful lines of verse Durgey on A Day Which Comes Once In A Year! Well said, friend. Nice thought dedicating post to all non-Hindi speaking lovers of IPK. It is only when I became a member of the forum did I realize that IPK had made inroads far and wide, nationally and internationally. I was not surprised but was in awe!
You have listed 30 translations!πŸ‘ Fantastic! βοΈ
@ Second post: Great symbols on love and charity, Captain Number 2 ! πŸ˜ƒ
Introductory poem in English posted on the IPKKND 2nd Anniversary Thread...
Poem on IPK's Second Anniversary
We are here to celebrate IPK's second anniversary
A time to be nostalgic, but also a time to be merry
FFs, SSs, OSs of the show, can fill up a mini library
A show that gave us, our very own Tom and Jerry
The entry in a chopper became the best entry ever
He entered into a million hearts to stay there forever
The girl on a two-wheeler, dressed in her best attire
Entered into the man's heart, which was a big ball of fire
Sparks flew, tempers blew and challenges were made
Don't want to meet or talk, to each other they said
Like elastic, the more they pulled, the more they got closer
Like a magnet, everytime, they kept bumping into each other
Finally they overcame, their egos and their fights
They confessed that on each other, they always had rights
Arnav and Khushi are names that are taken in one breath
Together for a life long journey, these two are set
This was no ordinary love story, told in an ordinary manner
This was a deep-rooted tale, to unite two people forever
The show created such a craze, the numbers on everyone's fingertips
Everything had a count, from almosts and kisses, to falls and lifts
For many, this show has proved to be a boon
A show that's called 'Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon?'
Hindi poem posted on the IPKKND 2nd Anniversary Thread...
Hamare Arnav aur Khushi
Ghar ke chotey pardey par, bani ek prem kahani
Is kahani ki huyi saari duniya diwaani
In donon ki chavi, sab ke man mein basi
Aise thay hamare Arnav aur Khushi
Na takraar ki kami thi, na kam thay jazbaat
Chingaariyon se bhari thi, inki har mulaqaat
Kabhi nafrat ki thi chingaari, kabhi thi nashili
Aise thay hamare Arnav aur Khushi
Sapne huye poore, woh bani unki dulhan
Kayee mushkilon ke baad hua inka milan
Saazishein bahut huyi, inka pyaar chadha na bali
Aise thay hamare Arnav aur Khushi
Mahiney beet gaye, par inhe koyi na bhoola
Bas yehi baat, har ek ka dil bola
Na pehle thi aisi jodi, na phir hogi kabhi
Aise hain hamare Arnav aur Khushi
Translation:
On the small screen at home, there was a love story
The whole world became crazy for this story
Both of their reflections was in everyone's heart
This is how they were, our Arnav and Khushi
There was no dearth of conflict, nor of emotions
Their every meeting was full of sparks
The sparks were sometimes of hate and sometimes intoxicated
This is how they were, our Arnav and Khushi
The dreams were fulfilled, she became his bride
After many difficulties their unity took place
There were many conspiracies, but their love was not sacrificed
This is how they were, our Arnav and Khushi
It has been months, but no one forgot them
Only one thing, every heart said
There was never such a couple, nor will be there again
This is how they are, our Arnav and Khushi
Blasters' post on the IPKKND 2nd Anniversary thread
* * *
A post from the Blasters of the Blast from the Past thread
We are a group of people from the 'Blast from the past' thread and call ourselves 'Blasters'. We've have been watching IPK episodes regularly since 3rd December and have been reviewing, analysing and discussing the episodes on a daily basis. We are at present on our 12th thread. As we were watching the engagement episodes, through our discussions and analysis we've made some discoveries. Some of these had already been done when these episodes were being shown for the first time. Nevertheless, we would like to point out our discoveries as given below.
Engagement Discoveries
(Whose engagement was it?)
Bandagement
As we all know, Arnav tied the bandage on Khushi's left hand ring finger(LHRF). The finger, whose nerve is said to go straight to the heart. This was done in Devi Maiyya's temple at an auspicious time amidst chanting of the holy mantras. Instead of a ring, it was a bandage that was tied. The bandage is made up of cotton fibres. Cotton fibres are used to make holy threads to be tied on arms and wrists, Rakhis and also turmeric threads for Mangalsutra (in South India). So, we can easily conclude that engagement has taken place in the most traditional manner.
The ring purchase
Shyam bought a ring using Anjali's money. Anjali's money is really a part of Arnav's hard earned money. So, the owner of the ring is actually Arnav.
Shyam - Khushi engagement
Shyam never put the ring on Khushi's LHRF. He put it on one of the right hand. And anyway, Khushi's engagement has already taken place in the temple. And Shyam too was a married man. So, the Shyam - Khushi engagement is invalid.
Lost ring
Khushi lost that ring and she never realised it till Buaji pointed out the next morning. Instead, she was lost in thoughts while looking at her wound on her LHRF, thinking about the bandagement. Something, a newly engaged girl would obviously do. πŸ˜‰
Purification
Arnav found the ring under his feet. In a way, he purified it with his feet. Later, the ring fell into a glass of milk. Milk is used for purification in various Pooja procedures. Also, ornaments are purified in milk before adorning the deity. Thus, the ring has been purified from all touches of any evil hands.
Blessings
The ring crossed the hands of Nani, Anjali and even Lakshmiji. As if the ring has recieved the blessings of the ladies in Arnav's house. The milk has been understood to be a representation of Arnav's mother, as he would always take sips of milk to soothe his pain, be it after getting drenched in the rain (after rain hug) or eating hot spicy dal. So, when the ring fell into the milk, we can assume Arnav's mother too gave her blessings for the engagement. Also perhaps, when Arnav and Khushi were having the star talk near the pool side, their parents were blessing them. Because, only after that Arnav found the ring under his feet, as if their parents wanted him to do it.
The Final ritual
After a little tiff, Arnav returned the ring to Khushi. When Khushi was unable to put it on, Arnav took over and put the ring half way on Khushi's LHRF, i.e. till the proximal joint of the finger. The bandage that Arnav tied in the temple was till the proximal joint. So we could say, that he had put a ring in her finger all through - the proximal one third with a bandage and the distal one third with the ring. 😳
Then, Anjali came in and put the ring completely on Khushi's LHRF. In many places, it is the mother or sister of the groom who puts the ring on the bride's finger. Thus, the engagement of Arnav and Khushi has been completed.
So, we can conclude that it was Arnav and Khushi who had been engaged and Shyam was never engaged to Khushi. Shyam is Arnav's sister's husband. Arnav considers his sister as a mother. So, that would put Shyam in father's place. So, can we assume that Shyam was giving a gift to his would be daughter-in-law when he gave the ring to Khushi? πŸ˜†
Here's a small poem to celebrate the engagement of Arnav and Khushi
Badhai ho badhai,
Arnav Khushi ki huyi thi sagaai
Is rasam ko poora karne wali thi
Shyam babu ki lugaai
(Congratulations, Arnav Khushi had got engaged, the ritual was completed by Shyam's wife)
Oh, giving rest to another
Bechaini kyoon leta hai
Why does it take restlessness?
Yeh aisa deewana hai jo
This is so crazy, just like
Ishq IPK mein apna poora samay bhi deta hai
One who in love with IPK even gives all their time
Usse kehna bhi hoga (IPK ke thread aur post), chup rehna bhi hoga
We will have to speak(post threads and posts), We will have to remain silent
Usse dard-e-judaai yahan sehna bhi hoga (IPK katam hone ka)
It will have to bear the pain of separation here (show IPK closing down)
Laakh jhukaaye koi, voh na jhukega (hame IPK phir se Chahiye)
No matter how much others try to sway us, we will not sway(we want IPK IPK)
Har dil jo pyaar karega
Every heart that loves
voh Arnav Khushi ki kahani dekega, IPK2 magega
they will see Arnav Khushi love story, ask for IPK2.
Very beautifully written about  their first encounter.
Thanks to point out that she actually grabbed his collar on their first meeting.She certainly did it unknowingly. Where Arnav's attraction towards her was so evident in his eyes.Really the pull was just out of control between them, like the pull towards IPK is uncontrollable for us.
Happy 2nd anniversary of our beloved IPK.
Happy anniversary. Feeling nostalgic and also sad
