Chapter 37: To Forgive and Forget
Khushi smiled and looked at her family... he friends and her hopefully new family. She had a spark in her eyes that probably went missing for time. Anjali, Payal, Nani, Ma all came up to Khushi and Arnav and little Prem... They did the Aarti and welcomed them in the house. The music started and people continued to chat. Babuji smiled at Khushi and hugged her tight he was proud of his little girl on choosing a prefect life partner and no doubt in that, he was happy for her and he wished that so will Garima. Khushi with the corner of her eyes saw her standing there' her heart pounded and didn't know what to do; she smiled and turned away not knowing what to say'
Khushi: Babuji I hope you are happy with this?
Babuji: Khushi, my happiness is in your happiness and I am very happy... I couldn't ask for a better son in law. He took Arnav hand and placed in Khushis... I hope you would take good care of my daughter.
Arnav smiled and said "I would guard her with my life uncle"
Arnav and Khushi took Babuji's blessings and went to Nani... who was standing with Arnav's mum looking angry but they knew they were even near angry...
Arnav: why you acting like your angry... when you just welcomed us in?
Ma: oh yeah... I forgot but... she grabbed Arnav's ear... don't lie to us again
Arnav: ma aahh that hurts let go
Nani: pull harder Sugandha
Ma: that's what happens when you lie to your family'
Khushi laughed but stopped when Sugandha pulled her ear' she pouted and begged to let her free. "Ma I'm sorry but I didn't lie' I didn't even say anything he did" she said pointing at Arnav
Sugandha and Nani laughed and Arnav and Khushi took their blessings together.
Lavanya stood there with her arms on her clutches, eyes staring with anger (love), she looked away when Khushi smiled cheekily to her' Khushi skipped over to Lavanya and tried hugging her but Lavanya pushed her away' "La' please don't ignore me, Nia, Jiya help me?"
Nia: don't talk to us
Khushi: but?
Jiya: I thought we were friends
Khushi: no, were sisters
Lavanya: if we were your 'sisters' we wouldn't find out last about that your engaged and that to my boss' awww, sorry ASR but it will take time for me to adjust to that.
Khushi: Arjun please
Arjun: I am with La on this Khushi
Jiya: first you go for 2 weeks and you don't even contact me? What is this Khushi?
Khushi: I am sorry! Are you going to make the poor girl cry

Lavanya: no the ring. Lavanya laughed and tired to jump but couldn't obviously because of her leg.
Khushi showed her hand with the beautiful sparkling ring on her finger Khushi smiled and wiggled her eye brows

Khushi giggled and Arnav came and stood next's to her
Nia: Jiju you best take care of our cheeky

Anjali came towards them along with Aman, Akash and Alok

Akash: it was be so fun another wedding, and that to our Arnav's wedding wow who thought Arnav will get married and that to and girl beautiful as Khushi it's a miracle.
Anjali: ok now stop embarrassing my brother

Arnav: wedding night' Aman dressed in di's wedding clothing' dark room how beautiful
Alok: oh that reminds me time for revenge

Lavanya came running up to Khushi and pulled her aside, both giggling and smiling with happiness. Khushi didn't want to be so happy' she didn't want to be so depended on it because there's always something in her life that would break her down again. She was in her deep thoughts on how her life changed since Arnav came into her life, it's almost perfect she thought but there was one thing that she was sure she was addicted to his love'
Lavanya: come on Khushi' this way, time to get changed into something better
Khushi: what? Why?
Lavanya: because it's yours and Arnav's engagement you can't be wearing this
Khushi: seriously' Khushi looked at Arnav who was smiling at her and then winked at her Khushi turned away blushing
Khushi: he is full of surprises

Khushi laughing and hugged her friend tightly and they both went up to get changed'
Khushi walked into a room and found a colorful beautiful sarees, it was filled with beads and it was heavy' it even looked heavy. Khushi run her hand over the suit and smiled she couldn't believe today was her engagement. She smiled and looked at the jewelry, earrings, necklace, tikka all were so beautiful and sprinkling brightly.
She smiled as she saw her Babuji walking in the room smiling at her with watery eyes
Khushi: Babuji don't cry
Babuji: every father cries when they find out their daughter is getting married and that to a prefect man
Khushi hugged her Babuji tight and cried into his chest hugging him close. Babuji kissed her forehead and wiped her tears away. "my darling beautiful daughter, I never gave you the time of day and I regret that and I will all my life I have an amazing daughter who never thinks about herself but today my Khushi I want you to forget about everything else and just think about you and Arnav and your life together. Its your time Khushi. I love you so much and I know your mum is proud of you."
Khushi smiled and watched her father walk out letting her get ready. His messages will always be there and she would remember that. She laughed and thought KHUSHI YOUR NOT GETTING MARRIED NOW!
Khushi come out all ready, she looked beautiful and amazing any guy would see her and fall in love her beauty but she was made for only one. She sat on the dressing table stall and fixed up her make. She giggled at herself. "Jiji I wish you was here today, you would have dressed me' fixed my sarees'" a tear dropped from her eye
Lavanya: Khushi stop' you going to ruin your make up
Khushi: how? I miss her so much
Lavanya: and I don't?
Khushi: did you see how she didn't come to meet me Lavanya? She didn't even look happy for me! She thinks its my fault Lavanya' I didn't have a choice la' I couldn't go against Jiji she was everything for me and she wanted her baby and I was with her when no one else was.
Lavanya cupped Khushis face: listen Khushi' I know what you did wasn't because you didn't want to think or care you did it because you wanted to see Jiji happy' you didn't take your baujis side because she was against your Jiji otherwise you would be standing next's to your bua. And she was in the wrong' but remembers she is her mother
Khushi: I don't want her to hate me'
Arnav: whose going to hate you?
Khushi turned around and saw Arnav standing there with his three piece suit looking all dashing and hot she smiled and blushed a little.. just by looking at him she forgets about her pain.
Khushi: nothing
Arnav: you sure?
Khushi nodded and stood up
Arnav stared at the princess in front of him, she was a beauty her hair all curled, her make up so light and beautiful, her saree on her looked beautiful.
Lavanya: don't drool
Khushi giggled and Arnav looked away and then gave Lavanya a deathly look "I am still your boss"
Lavanya: Khushi I will see you down' bye
Lavanya rushed down the stairs
Khushi: shall we go?
Arnav: Khushi are you sure you don't want to tell me' I mean you can tell me you know or do you want to wait?
Khushi hugged Arnav "Arnav there's been so much in my past and it's so confusing I don't know what to do?"
Arnav: Khushi don't let it break you, I am here for you and I am not leaving
Khushi: I know Arnav' my bua is here and she hasn't said anything to me, she still hasn't forgave me
Arnav: Khushi you don't know that?
Khushi stepped back and looked at Arnav "what do you mean?"
"One minute"
Arnav walked out of the room for a few minutes and then walked back in with Khushis bua' Khushi eyes widen with surprise.
Khushi: Buaji?
Bua: Khushi betiya
Khushi run towards her holding her heavy sarees along with her, hugged her tightly and she hugged her back
Bua: I am so sorry I should had understood my own daughter, I couldn't understand her but you could thank you for not leaving her alone Khushi
Khushi: I am sorry for not understanding how you felt' I am sorry I couldn't have saved her' Its my fault she isn't here today
Bua: no Khushi no!
Buaji cupped her face "it is not your fault' davi Maiya decided she needs to go' Khushi I should be ashamed of myself I never tried to be there for my daughter while she was breathing her last breathes' I didn't be there on my own grandson's birthdays or when he was born' I kept thinking about what people will think about him, what people will say but I never thought what people will say about you and you didn't care because they didn't know the truth' forgive me Khushi for thinking you were wrong and you were the one who put this on my daughter'thank you Khushi for not letting Prem feel he hasn't got his mum"
Khushi: I didn't want him to feel how I felt' not having a mum is painful, not having that person you could tell everything to and that person who knew your pain your untold secrets
Buaji: will you forgive me Khushi
Khushi: you done nothing wrong for me to forgive' but please I want you to be there for me on my wedding day as my mum' please
Buaji: what type of question is that' the brides bua is here it's going to be doom dam' a re Khushi acha larka hai
Khushi giggled and blushed
Bua: okay I need to check on the rings you guys talk
Buaji left the room and left Arnav and Khushi alone
Khushi: Arnav thank you so much
Arnav: thank you for what?
Khushi: shut up you know that I wouldn't be happy if she was angry with me' I wouldn't be able to be happy in my own engagement' Arnav I love you so much, I don't know what I will so without you! Since you have been in my life my life is perfect thank you.
Arnav: I love you too.
