Part 37
waisen bhi tumhi ne mujhe kaha tha, tum mujhe merin kisi haaq se nahi roko ghi he spoke softly caressing her locks away. She was taken totally a back with his change in attitude. Yes she said that.. but she expected some sainty from him, not like this force her.
Aab javo jaldi se, ek aachi biwi ki tarah merin liyen coffee banavo
her eyes just popped out in disblieve.
Javo.. he pushed her towards the kitchen
don't keep stairing at me like this ' nahi tho tumhara dil tumhe doka dede ga.. he spoke with a naughty glint in his eyes
hatred is all she could think right now
has he lost it completely she wondered as she made her way to the kitchen.
Merin wali coffee tumhari wali kadvi nahi.. he added
she turned back to give him her piece of mind, he royally ignored her & went on to settle the baggage
She kept the milk on the stove & kept stairing at it blankly. She didn't understand his reaction. More than anything she was not liking being around him. It only made her irritated. The memories of her wasteful past flashed. She was ready to lead her life alone, without any intervention, without any expectation. She was happy too, now with wat she had achieved. She didn't want to be bothered. She had even decided to part ways from Dev & Meeras life. But Maans behaviour was strange far from she could relate to.
She was far away from feeling his warmth or affection, love, sentivity behind his words.. or even to take it in the right way. All she could feel was anger. She opened the cupboard & took out the cup. She banged it on the kitchen table restlessly waiting for the milk to boil. Was'nt she irritated enough that this milk is taking so long.. Maan came down after settling the luggage in their room. He saw her standing so lost & hurt. His heart filled up.. emotions brimming. He gulped his urge to just take her in arms & pleed forgiveness.
He sighed rudly ' aisen coffee banthe hain
she was startled from her chain of thoughts
he briskly came aound & turned on the stove. Agar tumhe meren liyen kuch nahi karana tha tho kah dethi. He continued making the coffee like he was so hurt. She looked at him puzzled.
Geet was so innocently bound by her vows.. it all felt so wrong to her.. she was from a family were her mom & thai ji.. bhabhi.. did every thing for their husbands happily. Ladies took pride in taking care of their husband. There was nothing more in their life than comforting their husbands. His words only made her feel incompetent right now.
Nahi main..she was not sure wat was happening
one side she was in a flow of his words & other side her rationality just wanted her to walk away from all this.
Maan took out another cup & made her green tea. Before she could speak up he kept the cup in front of her. Yeh lo tumhari wali .. green tea
she looked at him angrily & snatched his coffee cup. I will have this
she said meanly sipping the pipping hot coffee with sugar.. god knows when did she last have a drink with sweetness.
he smiled & took the cup from her. He sipped it with that grin plastered on his face
Maan - I don't mind sharing it with u
Geet ' wo merin jhuti hain Mk.. she almost jumped
he was as cool as ever ' patni ho meri
Geet sighed seeing his naughty looks. She knew he was not thinking rightly abt all this. Them.. this relation.. &. .. she left him to finish the coffee & went to the room. Maan followed her with the coffee mug, occasionally handing her over the cup.
As the entered the room.
Maan ' Geet yeh dehko maine tumahre dresses yanha raken hain
she didn't want to look.. it was his room. She couldn't think on those lines.
Maan ' I was thinking we could go to the store tomorrow & get another cupboard. Wat do u think, idhar aacha lage ga.. yah udhar window ke pas
Geet ' udhar window block hogayega na
he thought sipping his coffee ' umm
he looked around.. just with her presence the room looked so complete. Tum chaho tho layout change kar sakthi ho. Its been like this ever since dad & mom.. he paused. He felt very emotional. He had not got a chance to break down. It was too much for a young boy but he had a little baby bro who looked up to him. He gathered himself.. yeh actually unka room hain, wo wala room mera tha. Neecha wala Dev .. he looks away in irritation. She stood next to him knotting her pallu, still not sure.
Maan didn't want to think abt past any more ' Geet main souch raha tha we should atleast change the curtains.
Geet interrupted in a serious & meaningful tone ' Mk aap phelen bhi Sam ko merin karan hurt kar chuken ho. I think u should
he bit back his frustration. It was not easy for him to be so cheerful & bossy over her when deep inside he was bleeding. He was sorry.. part him killed .. questioned his mere existence. Not an instance passed wondering.. it would have been probably better for Geet had he really died that night. Some where better for him too.. atleast he wouldn't have to live all along with that burden in his heart.
Geet ' Mk.. don't rush into things. Sam
he yelled in frustration ' shut up will u
she snapped irritated ' no I will not. U can't keep hurting people
it pinched him hard, she was blaming him directly for all her hurts.. its different to realize self & hurtful & agonizing when the person himself blames u.
Maan yelled - tumhari problem kya hain
Geet ' AAP she spat the words angrily
Maan ' well u have to put up with it for rest of ur life
Geet ' lekin main.. she turned away in irritation.. main yeh sab nahi chahathi
Maan couldn't bear her turning back to him.. With a jerk he clutched her. His arms enveloped her in a bone breaking hug from back, squeezing tight like he didn't want to let go. His breath washed over her ear as he nuzzled closer.
