Why Tarun?!

Manish ji was a great actor, perfect for such roles, appropriate and experienced also since he's done historical/mythological shows earlier also.

Tarun is too young, too limited an actor, and too weak with voice modulation and dialogue delivery to do justice to a character as solid as Ravan!

I don't like this choice and I hope this news is not true.

DKDM has had success unlike other mytho shows because of certain standards which it has. I believe they should maintain those standards and only take the best actors for important roles.

The show is growing in popularity, the makers have more responsibility to ensure top-notch quality now. Tarun is not worth it. Sorry.

I think it's a bit too early for the Ramayan. Besides, I'm not interested in any more Ramayans, or seeing it replayed in this serial, even in the shadow of Vrinda's curse.

Manish only had one more scene left wrt Shiva - the scene where he uproots Kailash and then sings the Shiva stota. After that, his role is over. There is no reason to show the Lanka war. Also, does the Shiva purana have it that Hanuman is an ansh avatar of Mahadev? If yeah, they could show that, but if not, the only Ramayan scene that makes sense here would be Rama's establishing the shrine at Rameshwaran.

All in all, I want to see the other stories around Mahadev. The Ayappan story. The stories of the fake Parvatis 😆 Those. And the Ravan stota. Then touch the Ramayan briefly, and then show the Bhimasura story and so on. When the Dwapar Yuga comes, show Mahadev's appearance b4 Arjun. And keep showing other Mahadev centric stuff.

If they're gonna make this another Ramayan, I'll stop watching, or take a break. And not just b'cos Ragini would be one of the most wretched Sitas that I've ever seen. Also, if Saurabh is gonna do Krishna's role in the Mahabharata, it's a good opportunity to stop swtiching scenes to Vaikunta every other minute, and focus just on Kailash. Only bring in Vishnu when he is a necessary part of a story, not as another spectator of DkDM.

Looking forward to Ramayan if only a month it will be done off in good speed. I still want to see Ravan uplifting Kailash which is one track I am most interested to see.Thanx for article Sindhu hope the new actor does justice to Ravan.

If Ramayan is being shown.. I hope it is as a parallel track n not the main track...
Mahadev Parvati have been terribly sidelined cos of Jalandhar...
And yes they will have to give a different perspective
Abt Tarun as Ravan..lets wait n see...

If they do show the Ramayan track, at what point will they start? Ravan bullying the triloks, the devas going to Narayan for help and so on? Which is the only logical place to start it here, but then, will they show the full Ramayan, or cue the Balkand & Ayodhyakand parts?

I think the logical next story to have shown here should have been Nahusha. After the death of Vritra, Indra had lost his throne and the Devas looked for a new ruler and found it in Nahusha. So they could show something like Indra being told by Shiva to not expect the throne back, and leave, and the devas looking for a king and ultimately selecting Nahusha. Even though it's not a part of the original, I'd love to see Asokasundari becoming the trilok adipatni 😆 So show that, show Nahusha and his fall from grace, and then the restoration of Indra (they can gloss over the Sachi abuse if they want 😈) During that time, they can show Ravan uprooting Kailash, and singing the Shiva stota - hope Manish is at least there for that. After that, they can show Ravan go on a war against the devas and trounce them, the devas appearing b4 Narayan and the start of the Ramayan track.

And like Shruti, I want the Ramayan track to be a sideshow, not the main show. In case of Jalandhar, since he was a Shivansh and Mohit was playing him, it didn't matter so much, but in this case, I don't want to see Ramayan overshadow what went on in Mahadev's parivar.

They will most probably skip Balakanda and Ayodhyakanda and maybe even show all the devas coming to Mahadev.

And I think the writers and researchers have TOTALLY FORGOTTEN about Nahush. Because now there is not single reason for Nahush to ascend Swarga, coz after Jal is killed, INdra will happily skip and jump and sit on his throne.

And SHiva Stotra is a must. SO with THAT coming up, Nahush story seems impossible.

But at least this Ravan looks evil, even in the way he smiles... SO we'll have an EVIL Dusht Ravana!😈

Maybe they can just shoot a few scenes of Ramayan, and have Mahadev narrate the rest? Or is that too much to ask? And Hanuman IS an ansh of Mahadev in Shiva Purana, so they have to show that.
