Part 14

It's been just two days since Rey has left but for Taani it's like two centuries. She is sitting by her new room's window holding Rey's picture and talking to him. "Rey, I am really angry with you two DAYS it's been two days and you haven't called or anything. Before leaving you were saying that you will miss me and you can't stay away from me now what happened? Don't you miss me?" With that a tear rolled down her eyes and Rey from far away had tears in his eyes automatically as if he felt her pain. He took the tear from his eyes in his finger and says while looking at the drop of tear "I miss you too, princess." He again got engrossed in his mission as he wanted to go back as soon as possible. Same happened with Taani soon Sharon called her and they both got busy with little YaSh. The day went like that for both in missing each other. Taani slept again hugging Rey's photo and hoping that he is safe and sound and come back soon.

It was very dark; animals were making sound of their presence. The wind was passing through trees taking leaves along them. Few men were walking with their guns in their hands silently yet carefully and cautiously. In them he was there too as their leader, ACP Reyaansh Singhania. Soon they heard footsteps coming towards them. They got attentive circled around facing all the directions of the dark and thick forests. Soon they were able to see goons coming from one direction, all the people in the team of Rey took their positions and were now waiting for their boss, Rey's orders. When they were really close to them, Rey signaled everyone to attack. It was a bloody fight. People were dying from both groups. Soon very few people were left including Rey and THAK the sound of gun was heard and the blood started flowing from his back. He froze at his place it was too dark for others to notice who was shot but he could feel the bullet inside him. He fell on his knees and everyone shouldn't his name including her.

"REEEYYY" she screamed and woke up from her worst nightmare. She looked around panting for breath and sweating like she just finished Olympics race. She was trembling in fear and the door opened and Swaron came running in. Sharon gave her water while Swayam gave her a tight side hug. They both were scared to see Taani like this. Soon they managed to calm Taani down. "Bhai, Rey" she manages to say and starts crying badly. Soon Swaron had tears in their eyes but they stayed strong for Taani. "Taani, don't worry Rey will be fine" Sharon says to Taani but in reality she was telling that to herself as she was scared for Rey too. "Bhabhi, he hasn't called since two days. I want to talk to him please do something, bhai." She pleads to Swayam and then Swayam replies "I will try to find out about Rey tomorrow from his office. Now don't worry and go to sleep. If Rey finds out that I am not taking care of you he is going to make me black and blue by beating me up." He says this to Taani and they all laugh while Swayam succeeded in making Taani laugh. They made Taani go back to sleep while Sharon went to sleep with YaSh while, Swayam slept on the sofa in Taani's room so that he is there for her when she needs him.

She wakes up in the morning early and with lots of pleading manages to go with Swayam to the office. They waited for hours but no one answered them which was making Taani really mad at them. She saw the commissioner walking and thought that now they will call them in but an hour was passed but no one bothered about them. She stood up in full on anger Swayam saw her but before he could say or do anything she barged in the commissioner's cabin. Commissioner was hell shocked and stood up from his chair and says "what are you doing? Who are you? And why are you in my cabin without perm…" before he could finish Taani interrupted him and says "to the hell with the permission. I am waiting since 5 hours and on one damn care about me. So why in the world I am going to care about anyone in this building. I want answers to my question and as soon as I get them I will leave from here. Till than don't even think about making me leave." She almost yells at him and says all this without breathing. While commissioner was shocked to see her behavior as it was time something like this was happening to him. Finally he manages to say "no one have ever talked to me like this in my entire career." Taani replies in full on tashan and anger "well there is always a first time. I want to know about ACP Reyaansh Singhania. Where is he? How is he? When is he coming back?" "Well we are not supposed to give info about any one of our team to strangers. You may please leave" Commissioner replies. "As I said earlier I will not leaving till I get my answers and for your kind information I am the wife of ACP Reyaansh Singhani and I have entire rights to know where my husband is?" Taani says in a firm tone.

Before commissioner could say anything the door of the cabin opens and comes in almost running "sir we have found some dead people of our team near jungle who were sent for that secret mission." As soon as Taani hears this she fells on ground as if someone snatched the floor under her feet. Seeing this Swayam goes and holds her while commissioner gives looks to that guy and goes to Taani and sits beside her and say "don't lose hope. We know Rey is a brave man and he must be fine. You both can come with me and for your and my surety we will look at those people's bodies. Listening to the word bodies Taani shivers and then Taayam both goes to the jungle to see those bodies.

There were total 5 bodies. Taani removes the cloth from their faces one by one looking for his Rey with a hope that she doesn't find him here. Four people were done checking and it was fifth one. Taani's hands were shivering while Swayam's heart beat stopped. It was next to impossible for Taani to look at that last body. She froze and winds started blowing and the cloth too. The cloth finally was removed from the face due to wind. The face was totally apparent Taani shut her eyes closed as soon as the face was visible not wanting to know who it was. While Swayam took steps backwards not wanting to see himself. ACP goes to Swayam and puts his hand on Swayam's shoulder and says "I am glad it's not him. Actually I am sure wherever he is he must be beating all the bad guys up." Swayam so wanted to believe him but couldn't he wanted it to see it himself. Collecting all the courage he had left with, he walks towards the body and sees the face and it was really someone else. He fell on ground and holds Taani from her arms and says "open your eyes Taani its okay." Taani moves her head from right to left making a sign on NO. "It's okay Taani. Trust me" Swayam says and Taani opens her eyes slowly. After finding out that body didn't belong to Rey she hugged Swayam tightly and cried her heart out.

She stands and goes to commissioner and holds her hands together in front of him and says "please, bring my Rey back. I can't live without him. Please do something." "Don't worry I am sending my team to find the rest of the people of that group including ACP Reyaansh. You just don't lose hope" he replies and goes to people who were leaving to find Rey and others. Taani walks to them and says "I am going with them. I can't stand here and wait for him to return after what happened today." Both Swayam and commissioner were shocked to hear Taani. Commissioner tried to explain her but Swayam knew that Taani was in no state to listen to anyone. So he decides to go with her and manages to agree commissioner on letting them go in jungle to find Rey as he was worried for him too. Letting Sharon know about the plan both taayam left with the new team to find the old team members including Rey.
