"Maan!" Khushi hesitated!

He caught her hands and touched them to his forehead bending his head and said," Mujhey taqleef hothi hain! Please!Aur Maa ayengi tho woh zaroor tumsey puchwaayengi!Pakka! Please Khushi?"

Khushi found it weird but she said," Maan Shaadi... karney sey..."

"Khushi promise me! You will not talk to me about it come what may!" Deepthimaan said loudly!

"Maan aap jab taq nahi bolengey hum yahaan sey nahi hilengey!" Khushi said settling further up on the rock!

Deepthimaan got furious! His face went red with rage and he said," I don't think it necesary to share with you the reason for my refusal to get married!"

That hurt and Khushi just smarted as his words hit her with full force!

Deepthimaan saw the hurt in her eyes and just smashed his fist into the rocky ledge to his right!

...and his fist was covered with blood! Khushi yelped and caught his hand just in time but sank to the ground as her feet gave way!

Khushi had never seen him so angry with her! Anger he had in him but never for her! He seldom spoke to her in a loud voice in the first place... her voice constricted and she croaked a stears rolled down her cheek," Akhir kya hain ki aap kisee sey apney aapko judney nahi dey rahe ho?"

"Kaun hain woh ladki jo aapko itna dard dekey aapka dil is tarah sey tod di, ki woh jud ney ka naam hi nahi letha hain??

"Khushi ek shabd aur nahi!"( Not one word!) Deepthimaan yelled at her!

"Nahi! Hum jaanna chahthey hain aakhir hua kya ki aap aisey ho gaye? Kya kiya usney?"

( No I want to know what has happened that you became like this? What did she do?)

"Bus Khushi! Chalo!" he huddled her towards the banglow!

"Nahi kya kiya usney?"( No what did she do?) Khushi was adamant and now she was like a small child... unreasonable in her demand to know what hit her friend so bad!

For a man like Maan, to be so depressed and in absolutely hopeless was impossible! What did the girl do to him to make him so... so... desolate? Khushi thought!

Deepthimaan nerves snapped and he just yelled," Shut up"

Khushi stared at him shocked! He never said such things!

Deepthimaan smoted his fist on his forehead and turned to punch it yet again in frustration but this time Khushi anticipating his move,kept her palm in between taking the blow and yelped!

Deepthimaan was taken aback and caught her hand asking anxiously," Khushi lagee tho nahi? I am sorry! I am sorry!"( Did you get hurt?)

"Bathaayiye!" ( Tell em?) Khushi asked

"Dikhaavo tho sahi" ( Just show me) he wanted to check her hand!

"Nahi Jab taq nahi bathaayengey nahi dikhaayengey hum!"

( No till you tell em I won't!)

Khushi decided that she will wrest it out of him!Then and there!

"Khushi you are.." Deepthimaan could not finish...

"Jo bhi hain per hum yeh jaan na chahthey hain aakhir kya bath hain!" Khushi spoke again

( Whoever it is... I want to know whats the issue)

"Kya ho gaya ki aap shaadi key naam sey hi chidthey hain!Kitni...khudgarz hogi woh ladki..."

( What has happened that you don't want to get married! How selfish of her)
"Rana!Chup!" Deepthimaan's tone hardened!

"Nahi! Jawaab chahiye!"Khushi yelled back!

"Kya hogaya Maan?"( what happened?) she yelled keeping her hand behind her back as he bent to check it!

"Kya hogaya? Aapko humaari kasam hain! Bathaayiye! "Khushi demanded.

"Nahi Khushi please!" he pleaded with her! Khushi in a quick moment bent and flicked the gun he kept besides him on the rock and pointed to herself and said "Boliye nahi tho aapko patha hain hum Jethwa hain hum apney aapko...!"

"NAHI!Mujhey gun doh Khushi!"( No! Give me the gun Khushi!) Deepthimaan said his eyes redding!

"Kya hua Maan?Aakhri baar pooch rahein hain!" She released the latch and yelled at him.

"Meri shaadi ho chuki hain! Bus! woh hua hain!"

( I got married thats all has happened!)

Deepthimaan yelled back and as she stared at him in shock he coolly collected his gun and tucking it in his waist band said,"Ab hath dikhaao Rana!"( Show me your hand now)
