She handed over the glass & walked towards the door. He didn't know if he had any right to say anything to her. He didn't know wat was in her mind for that he didn't even know wat was in his own mind!!! he didn't know wat to want any more.. god gifted him with the most beautiful wife & life partner & he couldn't even treasure it. He felt his life was worthless... even in mid of it.. he reached & grabbed her elbow. She patiently locked the door confusing him further.
she turned to face him.. within his hold
Aap merin pati hain she said in a defeated voice, taking no pride in it
she looked at his grip without any resistance, instantly his fingers trembled
aur main aapko aapke haaq se rauk nahi sakti.. her lashes was glued to the ground all the while. He couldn't see her eyes but could feel the pain she was oozing, just sanding in his approximation & the grip loosened instantly.. I didn't.. he closed his eyes!! dammit wat did she think he was trying.
He cursed himself turning his back walking to the far end of the room.
Her lashes fluttered aur merin .. she choked in tears.. merin dil main.. she had not ever told her feelings to anyone.. not until now.. she struggled.. mainra man apko nahi maantha... I can't give u a place in my heart.. she said it plainly.
Every word pierced right through him.
Followed a silence.. killing!!!
his heart that ached, burned in guilt .. the heart that was unrest.. in pain.. now it got so soaked in it.. that it felt numb. Suddenly felt at peace. A peace that was not because calmness but because of so much of pain in it..that it couldn't feel anything anymore.
She didn't say a word..just sat in the far corner on the floor hugging her knees.
Merin ticket kal ki booked hain she said before looking into oblivion. She didn't expect anything from him. The little bit she knew him,.. she didn't want him to be burdened with a relation that had no future at least she couldn't see one. The chapter of Sam was still undiscovered. She didn't even want to get into that end. He was free from any vows!! & she knew..even if she wanted, she could never be freed from it. Her believes, her values never would let her free. Else she would never be standing under the same roof as this person forget sharing a room.
He didn't turn back. He couldn't.. with so much of love in his heart he couldn't bear to see the hatred they bore. He just stood their silently facing the window. Nun could sleep.. he stood their all night & she sat in the corner in the same posture. The darkness embraced the night taking their relation with it. The only sound that was heard now was of their slow & calm rhythmic breathing.
Never thought she would give their relation a chance like this. She was bound by the vows.. & he couldn't release her as easily as she released him. The shackles that bound him was much deeper than those vows but she lived by those vows.
He was guilty for his mistakes & her bidding to him for the sake of vows only made him sinful. How sacred those vows are for her & he questioned the very thought!! her every nerve averted him but still she was here!

jisne khud hi apne rishte main hai aag lagaayi!

He stared blankly at the dark sky. Sadness and darkness are like natural mates. Like darkness romanced melancholy. Even when the sun touched the horizon.. but the darkness that surrounded.. seemed like the Sun itself was embraced by the Moon. He took a deep breath like he knew his path through the darkness. He turned to look at her. She had dossed for sitting in that position. He took the blanket from the cupboard & wrapped her & slowly helped to slide into a comfortable sleeping posture.
