And from what I see, RK is a bit old fashioned, he wants everything done as per traditions, so tat Madhu's memories of their relationship become pleasant. I m not denying the fact that their is immense love for each other in their relationship. But it also has its share of bitterness, which even though doesn't seem to bother them now, can raise their ugly head later. And we can't deny that Madhu was put through a lot because of RK's pigheadedness.. So it's a nice gesture on his part to try to heal the pain. Because what's done cant be undone. But there is always a way to correct one's mistakes.
So, I guess it's more of a healing gesture! And yes, a god way to restore her dignity in minds of people who think like Dipali..
And to please the TRP audience as they are looking forward to the wedding.
I wish Pads was able to trust her daugher's judgement. She is justified as a mom who witnessed her daughter's heart break but she is not being rational. There are so many things she didnt do as a mom, and she is still missing out on a few.
