Yes she is ,even Bombay talkies was originally offered to Kajol and when she refused Rani took it up and am glad she did coz she was Awesome in it .

Well, that's just KJo for you - he's fickle-minded and changes his likes/dislikes depending on who's the flavor of the season.

He even used Katrina's popularity for Agneepath and a few weeks ago went on to say something along the lines that item songs are not necessary to have in movies or something like that. I forgot which interview it was, but it was during the Bombay Talkies release, when he was hanging out with the 'smart' directors like Zoya, Anurag, and Dibakar. I was like mannn, if they're really not needed, then why'd you want Katrina to do 'chikni chameli' for your production house so badly?

I'm actually waiting to see how long his friendship with Kareena will last. The day she stops topping polls and delivers more flops, I think KJo will distance himself from her and move on to another hotshot. If he still sticks around with her, then I'll be surprised and will gladly take my words back.

I think Karan is loyal to very very few in the industry, but I have realized that he is a very good friend to those he is genuinely loyal to...some of them are Gauri (SRK), Kajol. He also loves Amitabh Bachchan to death and practically worships the ground Aditya Chopra walks on. He's been loyal to Kareena so far (if she's still around she can thank Karan for offering her films seeing as no one else seems interested) but let's see if that lasts when she's truly over.

He is fickle, fake, uses people, changes his likes dislikes...well he gets along with all the popular celebs of the time..he has his PH to think about and needs to be at least cordial with everyone that ways.

As CPR said though, Rani doesn't need to be resuced nor does SRK. I agree with all of those said KJo is fickle minded. I think it comes from a level of low self-esteem or b/c he was so isolated as a young boy. But he has this natural desire to be apart of the in-crowd and I honestly believe that he believes that he needs to suck up to the big, powerful families like the Chopras, Bachchans, Kapoors, etc to not feel left out. Plus, he still hasn't come out and I do think he's ashamed of his sexual orientation b/c he knows how the people (the audience) and certain section of BW might react.

Him and Kajol go way back, as well as him and Abhi and him and Karishma. Kajol and Kareena get preferential treatment b/c he actually loves them. From what I gather via interviews and articles, he has an honest and loving relationship with the Bachchans too, especially Shweta and Abhi and now Aishu.

As for Rani, I think the whole Pamela Chopra not really approving of Rani could be a reason of why he's distant with Rani on a personal front but keeps a healthy professional relationship. She's a damn good actor that promises to deliver and he's one smart man when it comes to making BO successful films. He definitely "uses" her when he can't get his original choices.

I don't think Karan is ashamed of being gay anymore...he has given enough big hints in interviews now that it's more than obvious. I think a lot of people aren't open to the idea of homosexuality yet...they will never be able to deal with him being gay. I've seen him RT some really nasty things that were sent to him just because of the story in Bombay Talkies. I think he feels he will isolate a large part of his audience if he does come out of the closet. I'm not sure if being wary of that reaction is the same as being ashamed. Honestly, I think if he really was ashamed he would have married someone by now to make everything think he's straight. He's big, powerful, and rich enough that he could get lots and lots of women. But he hasn't...and for that I have to give him a lot of credit.

The rest yeah...he's grown up with Kajol, Abhishek, Aditya, Uday., Shweta, Hrithik...he is close to them.

Maybe I used the wrong word then, but he definitely has that fear of being isolated. As a child, he was chubby and wasn't into things the other kids were into and was bullied for it. And now he's gay and even though people are acepting now, I'm sure they didn't used to be when he started off. I'm sure those feelings evolved as he matured and people's attitudes matured. But I do think a part of him is scared of being alone. I'm sure he wants a companion and wants to do all those couplely things that other star couples do, but can't b/c Indian isn't quite ready for marriage equality. That's why there's always that sadness in his tone/eyes when he talks about marriage or how his mom wanted him to get married and give her grandchildren, but now she has accepted that marriage isn't meant for him.

Yeah I think he does want to come out, but he is scared of being isolated like you said...by the public more than his peers. I think his peers all know. I feel for him sometimes. He wants to be a father for sure..he talks about adopting a bit as well.

^^on the above topic...i think every1in industry and even outside the industry knows that he is gay. i havent seen any interviewer ask him abt his dream companion like they ask other single actor, actress or directors too...also...he hasnt ever been linked to any actress even though he is a BFF to many of them...so its very much obvious he is gay...

good on him that he hasnt tried to mask it by marrying some gal for the heck of covering up..now that wud b hypocritical. the fact that he has maanged to remain single talks abt his resolve to not be hypocritical abt his own personal life!👏

BUT I DO hope there comes a day when every1..gay strght..lesb watever...is free to choose their own partner and actually go ahead and marry them legally..i mean y not...v all shud be entitled to some love of our own choice..isnt it!!

abt him loosing out on his fans...well..i dont know. maybe his fans r the conservative types coz of the glossy movies he makes and hence he is afraid to loose out on them...but if his fans r anything like me..i sincerely support him if he decides to come out abt his status 😊

there r many in the industry like him..wendell rodricks comes to my mind immdtly..rohit bal is anthr one...they have openly admitted and dont give a damn what ppl think of thme..n even have partners..then y not karan.

must say it must be frustating to always hide ur relationships while every1 else gets to flaunt it!!🤢

I think KJo is power-hungry. He associates with people who are 'in' or rising. KJo was very friendly with not just Rani but Preity and Kajol too. If you notice he is no longer pally with them. Kajol seems to be a personal friend though he will not go out of the way to help her professionally. Also notice he has edged out SRK professionally from Dharma though he remains friendly with SRK and Gauri on a personal level.

He tried to get friendly with Salman last year till Salman sent out the message that his efforts were not appreciated. Thats KJo for you...he always needs to be at the center of action. He wants to be the go-to guy. People like Rani are of no use to him except when his friends leave him in a lurch. But then its up to Rani too if she wants to let people like KJo use her.
